About my work - I remove beaver dams when I receive an order from a state organization.
I do not choose which dam to remove. It is decided by officials at the request of nearby residents. Each dam is assessed in advance if it can and if should be dismantled.
Removing the dam is not a threat to beavers. I do not remove their houses - lodges.
Dams are removed only in places where beavers cause damage, for example by flooding nearby fields, flooding the basements of nearby houses, or when the stream on which beavers built their dam is degraded.
Even though beavers are very invasive animals, they are under strict protection in our country.
I personally like all animals, so beavers are fine too.

Helloooo Maria! I hope all is well with you. We are now having record high heat and occasional rain. Just wish it would pour down on the wildfires still raging as the smoke is still making air quality very bad and days always hazy. Thank goodness for air conditioning! My veggies are getting eaten by the birds again and I’m now cutting tubing lengths and putting up rows of netting tents over everything to finally keep them off my stuff. I hope you’re laughing! 🤣🤣

Fortunately, there are no bears in this part of Poland - but there are wolves here, fortunately I haven't met any on my way yet. In general, when I work in remote areas, I deliberately behave a little louder to scare the game away.

In the cold season, I wear long waterproof gloves, so I don't feel cold. However, on warm days I prefer to work in ordinary garden gloves - because then I have a better grip and feeling of what I'm doing.

The best method is to remove beaver dams from the bottom of the stream. Then the flowing water is most effectively used, because the previously removed dam is once again flushed with flowing water.
