I decided to renovate my tiny workshop space, and this is the result. You won't believe what I found in the walls. At least I have a new desk now and didn't burn the house down.
I ended up going with a Desky standing desk. They didn't pay me, I bought it myself, and I'm very happy with my decision.

Holy. Shit. Balls. I thought I didn’t have a lot of work space. I will never complain again. I do love the desk and the improvements to the workspace. I recently came to a point and decided to throw stuff away and it was such a great feeling to free up space around the bench. Love it and get those oven mitts on!

Hey Matt! I've been watching you and Josh forever, I'm not one to comment much but personally I love your back yard, looks nice and green and comfortable. I've been into RC since around 1984 in 5 different homes. Finally have a room for my building. I'm 64 years old and I believe that whatever space we have, we can make it happen... I really admire you for putting your wife first and giving her, her own space. God bless

first and foremost thanks for sharing your shop space, you truly deserve a standing ovation for your success with the space you have it's really an inspiration for the rest of us to pursue our passion regardless of the challenges. Space is always an issue regardless of the size the answer is to be as efficient and organized as possible with function overall being first and that will bring the most enjoyment to one's workspace. I guess it's time I do some workspace organization myself haha

That backyard is pretty sweet, I agree a little extra space isn't worth taking away from the yard. I think you and I are working with about the same amount of room. I have my desk/bench set up in my front room, which is more an entry way. measures 6x10 roughly... And I have a table top course right behind me, but I get things done. Your tools and little bits are far more organized than mine, though!

Good heavens dood that's all you're working with? Definitely comes off way larger on camera. I mean this in a good relatable way since I have less lol and have gone through the workbench phase. Now I use a 3x2' drafting table set high so I can stand or sit on a stool and it's an absolute game changer. You'll love that standing desk and ability to get your feet under it. Your back will thank you.

I can't complain about my work shack. It is an old 8x10 shed once used as a chicken coup. It is a bit drafty in the winter with the holes being covered but bit of tin and tarps. I have a big old tabletop drill press in there, two hobo freight mechanic tool boxes for all my tools. I don't have much room for storage, so I constantly have to throw things out. The only thing I wish I had was a concrete pad to do my automotive work on.

I do like hobby room change videos 🙂 My hobby room is 2.25x2.30m (88.5"x90.5") with angled roof at one end. I got to cram in most of my stuff there, bar the complete cars. My work bench is 2x Ikea Alex drawers (one for projects and one for tools, papers, chargers and wood type screws etc for my home) and a old kitchen bench cut to fit and wrapped. Above I do have Tamiya boxes and project cars. On other side I have a Ikea Billy bookshelf and one other Ikea one for parts and material. I also has my scale garage there. People is quite surprised I managed to get so much stuff in there. I also got my subwoofer and about 10 bodies under the workbench along with another drawer and boxes etc. My least favorite thing to do is painting figures and bodies. Figures I hate doing the paint job. Bodies is just boring. Rather do shocks all day long includding e clips lol!
