1=11=21=1211=111221=312211. If you read them out as single sets of digits with counts this makes sense. Starting with 1, you say I have "one 1" = 11. Then you look at the "11" and you say I have "two 1's" = 21. Then you look at this and say I have "one 2 and one 1" = 1211. And so on read this you say I have "one 1 and one 2 and two 1's" = 111221 and so on gets you the final of "three 1's two 2's and one 1" which is written out as 312211....the final in the sequence.

+MrBrockarock yeah i got the same, pretty fun puzzle
@chandrakas8 жыл бұрын
+MrBrockarock It was interesting to me to see this 'puzzle' because I've actually only ever seen it done slightly differently. Instead of counting every digit in order (as you've correctly guessed), I've only ever seen it done where you count the number of each numeral, in sequential order. Thus you'd have 1, 11, 21, 1112, 3112, 211213, 312213, and so on, so that every even digit would start with 1 and increase by 1 each time (well at least until you got into it really far). (For the confused, think of as a counting excersice 'one two, one one', 'three ones, one two', 'two ones, one two, and one three', and so on)

For anyone wondering, the correct answer to 1=11=21= was 1211. it's something called the 'look and say sequence' it's literally looking at the numbers and saying how many and of what number eg. (I sound like a maths teacher but I don't care) take the number 1, there is one 1, or 11. Now there are two ones, or 21 Therefore the answer is one 2, and one 1. 1211 1211=111221=312211

You have accidentally stumbled upon the answer in base 4 though, almost, sort of. 256 in base 4 is 10,000 and in base 4, 10,000-1 is 3,333, so there is that strange bit of logic that you found. Is base 4 actually used for anything, or is it just there because math has a tendency to create infinite things where only several are needed?

We start with "1". In that quote there is one of the number 1. That gives us "11" because there is "one one". If we go on, we now have two of the number one. That gives us "two one" = "21". Going on: "1211" And on: "111221". That means the missing space (after "21") should be: "1211". I don't have the game. Can anyone confirm?
