The fact that his daughters are well-behaved, sweet and don't even mind or think about the absence of their mom, means that the dad is doing a wonderful job raising them by himself. Koreans should not think of him negatively, in fact they should all strive to be as family-oriented and dedicated as this single father

I know it's not easy that is why I salute all single mothers and fathers. Imagine, they can abandon us when things go hard BUT THEY DIDN'T. i don't think they should feel pity them or think less of that family, they should be proud and respect the father because he's doing a great job as a single parent and his daughters are blessed to have him as a father. they should be happy for that family. all single parents (those who are doing a good job raising their child) are very strong and we should all respect them.

Korean thinking is really out of the norm. Just because something is out of the norm doesn’t mean it bad. No kids wants to go grow up in a single parent situation. Instead of having empathy they are shunning them. Every family have it own difficulty, who are the outsider allowed to thrash another.

if you're travelling with a child under 18 in/out of Canada you actually need documentation/permission from the other parent if its just one parent travelling alongside them, its not a bias in Canada, thats just how the law works so they aren't indeed kidnapped. For single parents / guardian custody, its a similar document

this reminds me of my father so much. My dad raised me on his own since the age of two. and it was hard because like in the story, teachers and schools will always say "bring your mother" or "show your mom the ecellent work youve done". As a kid, i always asked why my mother was taken from me, not knowing how hard it was for my dad to raise a girl. Now a days, i try my very best to help my dad...whether its bills, housework, his health or relaxation. All my dad has done for me, I am grateful.

I rarely comment under yt videos but this issue really hit close to home... my dad also raised me and my brother on his own after breaking up with my biological mother and it wasn’t always easy for him as well... on top of that my dad is in a wheelchair and now imagine the stares we always got/get when out, shopping etc... even though I was raised in a country where people usually mind their business and don’t act weirdly around male parents lol... the judgement and also praise male parents get for being a good parent is honestly annoying....like why is it sooo weird for dads to do their job as a parent....it shouldn’t be praised and neither be looked weirdly upon! I’m glad these girls have a loving parent who will do his best to make sure they don’t miss out on anything!!!

Beautiful family. I'm sorry for the negative experience in Canada. I think it's great he's doing the show and bringing the issue up. We all have scars in life, however he's helping his girls be stronger. I like his daughter's expressing through writing. You never know she could be writing for KBS World dramas. I'd like to see more with single dads. I hope they visit family in Canada more.
