Veterans tend to tough it out as long as they can. A lot of vets may just be postponing until they're sure the VA won't help. Never forget the VA motto of deny, deny deny, and eventually the veteran will die.

Am A Vietnam Veteran With 75 Combat Missions and Two Air Medals But The VA Wanted Us To Have A Combat Infantry Badge In Vietnam 🇻🇳 To Ever File For Benefits and I Completed ✔️ 4 Appointments Per Month Nonstop For 2 Years Straight QTC and My Doctors and My Wife Went With Me They Took My Appendix Out W: / Cancer 6 Weeks Later Part Of My Large Colon 1-Foot Hip-Replacement , Peripheral Neuropathy In Arms and Legs 🦵 2-Knee Surgery , They Don’t Had Out VA Rating’s Unless The Veterans Has The Medical Conditions To Go Them and I’ve Been Doing This A lot Longer Than You and Out Of All My Men There’s Only Two Or Three That Have 100% Rating Ok 👌

Two or three times a year of the VA drops my pain management I get steroids epidurals and nerve blocks I have to jump through the hoops and start all over I haven't taken narcotics in years once they drop the ball it's two or three months before I get what I need they burn me up with radiation my head is about 2 inches to the left and my right shoulder is drooped about an inch they melted my whole upper right quadrant and they asked me why it hurts they burned all the cartilage out of my neck

I’m in pain and VA just dragging their asses to get me to surgery to fix it. They offer community care but as great as it sounds it’s broken. The VA doctor puts a referral out to be evaluated on if VA can handle services, then if not it goes to community care to find outside provider who may or may not have much availability either who then reaches out to that provider to get an appointment which outside provider calls service member about. There is nothing expedient about this process nor any mitigation on appointments getting lost in the system. When I got home from Afghanistan in 2019 it took me 5 months to get a mental health appointment to help with adjusting to civilian life just to have the em cancel appointment when I got there due to provider being out. Where is the action to fix? It’s just talk.

The VA has tiers for people of different incomes of care benefits. Its like Obamacare. If you dont work you get everything. If you are a retired worker with a pension and a vet, you get less or nothing. Easier if it was all for everybody.

My stepdaughter was getting ready to go to Iraq to the war on her second hitch in the army she fell out of the back of a deuce in half and landed on the tongue of a water buffalo broke her backup hauled out in an ambulance one day she went to the VA crying and bawling her legs were numb it had been dragging her around for years they called the cops the cops came up behind her put her in a Chokehold locked her up in the mental place for 3 days when they were signing her into the mental place they were laughing about what they did to her her three boys her mother no one knew where she was at for 3 days yeah the VA is wonderful it is a very good job program for the people that work there it is full of bureaucracy I am thankful happy and content my point is what about the war wounded they deserve a lot more I have never been in war but these are experiences I've seen with my own eyes
