Shadows has always been one of my favorite maps, but I was always reluctant to play it because of how long it would take to set up. NoahJ bringing these Speedruns to light for me has really changed how I play the map, and honestly it is such a breath of fresh air.

To the gum „rng“: He had to get Pop Shocks there because he already cycled through his other gums. You cannot get the same gobble gum twice before hitting the other 4 atleast once. Same goes for Power Ups. Idk if you know that, you just seem so surprised every time a person gets a guaranteed gum or power up drop. Well he talks about Gum Cycles at 24:30 so I guess he knows lmao

Think he picks up HVK in addition to KRM bc of what you said at end, how a instant kill can be used as a weak death machine in a pinch. So using both is beneficial instead of one over the other, which allows for more versatility against RNG

I would imagine that skipping the nuke is strictly faster in both situations. In both situations he didn't have to physically walk out of his way to end round, which saves travel time. There is also the delay in the nuke killing the zombies and ending round. Especially in the first situation, shooting the zombie with the KRM and ending the round took roughly 2 seconds compared to the 4 seconds or so a nuke takes.

The problem with nukes is that if zombies are still spawning and you don't kill all the zombie with the nuke the zombies won't spawn until the effect of the nuke is finished which can waste so much time so only use nukes when you know that they are the last zombies otherwise you waste time

@noahjafk u need rapid fire attachment to make the HVK OP for the speedrun. Im thinking you might not have it because its not too good for normal runs because you run out of ammo faster but for the speedrun its more DPS( damage per second )

There's maybe a reason why Scotty likes the KRM more than the HVK. It kills faster, plus the accuracy from long range as is it's a Shotgun. The argument made for HVK is that has more ammo for the flags steps, UNLESS you're feeling confident about your aim I guess you could for the KRM. Although.... This might actually comes down to personal preference, due to "similar" time records each one has got. Another thing, both has the number 4 as a common multiplier for ammo. So, if you have the KRM you need to be around 5x times more precise than HVK. (KRM = 16 ammo on Magazine and HVK = 60 ammo on the Magazine)
