Greetings from Sydney, Australia. The good news is this video is very inspiring and making me want to push some paint around. The bad news is it's midnight atm so I have to wait seven hours.

I find your videos very relaxing and enjoyable. Very reminiscent of my art classes from waaay back in College.. ahh those ancient years in my 20s 😆. Greetings again from Canada :) thanks for another great painting. Questions for the Q&A: 1) is there a theme for your upcoming show? 2) how do you plan for retirement as an artist? 3) do you ever paint portraits or people? 4) do you always tone with Burnt Sienna? And if so why this color? Thanks in advance! Have a great week :)

Really a superb painting. Love the composition. I took a look at the show online, which is also looking great! For a Q&A, I wondered whether you might be able to talk about your approach to achieving an authentic sense of light, which indeed seems to be a characteristic of the very best landscape paintings.

I love your work you inspire me so much! I am very new at painting I started after a car accident and spending almost a year in a wheel chair it was so therapeutic and that is when I found your channel. Your videos got me through some tough days and now I just love painting but still trying to find my way.. I do have a question please. What type, brand, model etc is the easel you are using in this video? Also if I wanted to buy a full size french easel what would be a good quality one that would last which one do you use inside in your kitchen? Thank you for taking the time to make so many amazing videos have a great week.
@chamberlainpaintings Жыл бұрын
The easel is from takeiteasel.com I made the folding palette box but you can purchase similar at artboxandpanel.com. As for French easels, I haven’t used one in years so I can’t recommend a brand. I’d probably buy a used Julian brand on Craigslist. Hope that helps!

Good job Michael. What ratio of liquin to paint do you use to get that transparency? Do you still use a small amount of liquin at the very end with thicker paint just so the painting dries quicker than just straight paint? Cheers.
@chamberlainpaintings2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jim. I'm not sure the exact ratio. I just keep mixing in the Liquin until it feels right. Yes, I use Liquin all the way through the process, but less when I want to apply thicker strokes.
