I finally understand the theory & process behind greying down color to emulate nature. Coincidentally I just (this past week) failed at a very similar scene with lots of beautiful yellow & orange foliage (from a photo though, fall is over here) My biggest fail is always yellow. Even by adding a little titanium white, it is always too transparent & too green, too dull, no ‘pop’. I don’t typically look for excuses lol but do u (or ur viewers) feel this could demand a more expensive cad yellow?? Something more buttery in consistency?? My typical paint quality is mid level. As a beginner, I am very disappointed in that you did not show the color mixing. I do watch many videos on color mixing, but it would have been nice to see you mix the colors and apply. Sorry, I had to turn off this video within the first 5 minutes as a result of you not showing color mixing as you painted.
