Thanks Sam, another amazing painting and fantastic video. Do you use liquin after the initial stages? Would lean medium work in place of liquin? And thank you for advising the alternative colours, this is so very helpful. Can't wait for the next video.
@SamuelEarpArtist4 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I use liquin throughout the painting but I use less towards the end. I haven't tried lean medium yet but I was going to buy some, my friend Freeman White also recommended it to me 😊

Great work Sam! I am amazed at how little paint you use when mixing your colors on your palette. You seem to get the paint to really go far, do you use much medium when mixing?
@SamuelEarpArtist3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much. I try not to use too much medium, only in the initial block-in stage. I use much thicker paint as I build up the paint layers 😊

Are you using a fast dry medium throughout the entire painting or only for the block in ? and then Do you use Linseed oil for the remainder of the painting?

What size canvas to you see sales the most ? 8x10 ?
@SamuelEarpArtist3 жыл бұрын
It varies but in general I sell more small to medium sized paintings online 😊
@allenvoss79773 жыл бұрын
@@SamuelEarpArtist So would you say the 8×10 and 16×20 are the ones to spend your time on ? I’m trying to figure it out because we put a lot of time and effort into it I want to be putting it on the canvas that most people desire to have.

Hi Sam! I follow both you and Andrew and love both channels. I've had the question of painting with acrylics (which I use) and following your tutorials for the longest time. Aside from the drying process, is it possible to recreate your works just as with oils. Any tips when using acrylics (I just don't have the ventilation for oil painting)? Hope all is well and keep doing what you do!
@SamuelEarpArtist4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Max 😊, you should be able to recreate the same kind of painting with acrylics, you just need to keep in mind that acrylics dry quickly and they dry darker. I can understand the ventilation issue, I have the same problem in my studio!
