This is a game changer. Working in a guitar store, people seemed confronted by the seeming complexity of the x3 and x5. Bringing the x1 to market is going to be an awesome way of introducing stubborn “analogue” guys into the potential of what great digital units can do!

@@PedalPoopers Gain and modulation is the only things I really always prefer analog. Anything else, including some weirder stuff, can be digital. Delay and reverb has gotten just as good, and/or just different. I like the pt2299 chips, as much as any bucket brigade delays, when they’re used right. They can sound like a tape delay, or BBD, and die modulated delay well. Then there’s stuff like the Raster 2, which I have been breaking down for months now. I can get great phaser and tremolo sounds, then create unique delays and reverb textures, or have a backwards phaser, or phaser repeats. It sounds killer in stereo or mono. I’ve used several TC pedals to gig with, that are digital. I’ve used the Vortex, HoF, Flashback, Helix and I’ve used the MojoMojo, Dark Matter and Spark. One can play nearly any gig with those pedals.

@@louiscarrollmusic-lcm5331 I totally agree with you Louis. I remember back in the 90s, Zoom head hunted a local guitarist and said "hey man, we want you to do som in-store demos of our gear at the local music store". It was a win/win ... not only did people buy the Zoom products, kids with were inspired to buy guitar 'starter packs', and years later those same 'kids' came back to buy more gear as their skills advanced (as well as the minority becoming band members). Sadly, that same store no longer has the regular in-store demos on a Saturday morning. The gear distributors just tell the store what to stock and hope that their products are made popular via KZbin (eg Andertons, Sweetwater, Pedal Show, Pete Thorn, etc). The 'human element' has gone from the local music store, despite having a lot of staff standing around and not engaging with customers. Just recently, I went into my local store to test a new Fender Tone Master Bassman ... the sales assistant just said "plug it in and work it out for yourself" and nothing encouraging like "would you like to take it home with you?". And certainly none of the "how long have you been playing, are you in a band?" friendly questions. At another store 2 miles away, they had a complete range of Kemper, Blug Guitar, Line 6, Fender, Boss, etc products in store and hooked up for demo, but NOBODY was trained to meet & greet customers and get the 'old analogue guys' inspired to spend a few dollars. Yes, KZbin demos are the go, but if a guitar store sales guy says that sales are down, then it's up to him/her to turn that around and earn what their employer is paying them to do.

I got really excited to see this and I may still pick one up but i feel like this, along with the rest of the tone print line, is always so close to what I want but falls short functionality wise. not including footswitch control jacks that would make all the extra footswitch functions available simultaneously has always been the reason why i end up not picking up a tone print pedal. the access to tap tempo externally to the pedal or mash in tandem with tap tempo seems like something that should be a pretty standard feature especially on something more expansive like the bigger plethoras.

When I bought mine I realised how lazy I was to change pedal order and explore, because you make whole mess on board with cables, rearanging pedals etc, but whit this you can do that in a second. The only thing I would like to be fixed, for me, is connection with app, it does not work so I always have to ue PC , but not a big deal.
