Yes, the 3D tracker is pretty amazing actually. I would give it a try for sure. If not the point tracker should do the trick.

This tutorial was created with Plexus 1 but you can totally use Plexus 2 to create this effect and a lot more. Please watch the Plexus 2 tutorials on our site to familiarize yourself with the new features in Plexus 2

I found the issue: The GPU accelerated rendering was making the preview buggy for some reason. I turned that off and it displays fine. I've got a GTX580 3Gb which I'm sure is supported. Hope the bug is fixed soon.
