What if Blackbeard is part of the lost Three-Eyed Tribe. I don't ever recall seeing him without a bandana, a hat, or some sort of covering over his head. The special abilities of the Three-Eyed Tribe is the reason why his knowledge is so deep in the Onepiece world. These abilities is why Big Mom wants Pudding to unlock so she could read the poneglyph. This may be one of the reasons why he may have the 3 skulls a his pirate flag. Just a thought

Idk about that because a df effects the body more than the mind but they do have wills and such but if that is true it would be unique because each personally could have a df but all the personallys have the same body and same heart and df destroy the body once two are eaten because of conflicting wills or just because a body can't handle so much power so I don't think so

So there has to be some type of loop hole where blackboard and luffy (according to recent developments in the arc) can use more then 1 df and not be utterly destroyed by simply attempting to hold 2 df as the legend says. Black beard holding 2 df already rips apart the original legend of how more then 1 df is deadly to the user. If we use today's knowledge of the psychology of people, it's been shown those with Multiple personality disorder have individual personalities with individual wills wants and desires. Maybe oda use that for blackbeard? With luffy idk what oda will use if the current arc is going the way people say it will with luffy holding 2 df. Thanks for the comment. I like your theory on Blackbeard being three people in one, especially with how it could explain why he's never seen sleeping. However, I don't think that's really a Devil Fruit ability, since Marco commented on how Teach was a person with an abnormal body. Perhaps, what Blackbeard has isn't a power, but something that had been bestowed upon him by others means. Besides, if it really was a Devil Fruit power, I feel that it would undermine the possibility of him obtaining a third one, as that would be more like possessing two instead of three, thus contradicting his own Jolly Roger.

I think Blackbeard could be the child of rocks, Blackbeard was kept hidden and as a secret that’s why he was able to avoid any suspicion, and I think rock’s df was yami yami, and I think the same way everyone was made to think that luffys df was one thing but ended up being another thing, I think that is the same case with the yami yami,and that’s why it’s not on anyone’s radar, or it even might be on their radar and that’s why imu wants him.. but I think no1 knows coz of the same reason as luffys df and I think Blackbeard also knows the true abilities of the fruit. And his dad being rocks will make sense why he knows a lot as rocks wanted imus seat and not the pirate kings seat.. I do believe there is more to bb as a person aswell, but I don’t know exactly what but I have many diff theories.. One there was three of them, so bb had another two siblings and they either morphed in the womb, three became one, or when they were born and rocks hid them, he might have had something to do with making all three into one, two is he was born with three souls, or three hearts.. or it’s something completely different and there might be a completely different reason.. another reason might be his fruit might be the reason to why he can have another fruit..

It's clearly an overpowered ability already. It has the ability to turn ANYTHING tangible and in some ways bends reality, by turning lightning into something physical that can be grabbed and thrown he broke physics. We havnt even scratched the surface of what Gear 5 is capable of. I don't think Luffy will get another DF power up before the end of the story at this point he is already top 5 maybe even top 3, if anything a power up will come from mastering his Haki whilst in Gear 5.

What if blackbeard is a humonculous meaning he was created by vegapunk or someone. As such he's a "failure" of a human created with setience but no soul. In certain eastern myths that would explain why he doesn't sleep and if the devil fruit bonds to your soul (which is why you can only have 1) he would be a vessel capable of bypassing this since he doesn't have a soul. lol ik its a little outlandish but that can be why his body is so durable and why everyone refers to him as having a weird body. Lastly what if the final zoan fruit teach is after is actually the nika nika. think about it, why was burges so focused on getting the mera mera and both luffy's gumgum. chances are teach already knew the true name of luffy's fruit which is why he said luffy wasn't ready to be a yonko "yet", because chances are he knew luffy still hadn't awoken the nika nika. lmk what yall think just a few theories I have from my rereadings

What if rox has a power like brooks and captain ginyu from dragon ball z he died or could body hop and jumped into black beards body. The possible reason blackbeard can have two fruit is because he has two souls rox and Marshall and the fruits are joined by the souls but Rox original fruit is still in his body so he can have a new fruit in blackbeards body. Or brooks died and his fruit appeared with rox but still gave the effect to brooks as well?

I'm inclined to believe Imu has connections to the Nerfertari family and the real world links to the Pharaoh Akhenaten who replaced the ancient Egyptian pantheon of gods with a single sun god Aten but in this case Imu did the opposite replacing the sun god Nika with the Celestial Dragons & the St. system of worship. I think you're pretty close generally, but put more simply I think BB got a DF that allowed him to absorb a person altogether (like the supe'd up jacket fruit) and maybe either with the restriction of requiring people one is related to or had a genuine bond with etc (and did not already have a fruit etc) then he could use them as a conduit while their personalities kind of leak out a bit

I would say Blackbeard also has a Mythical Zoan rather than a Logia. Dog Dog: Version Cerberus Think about it. Three headed underworld dog, known for having varying personalities. Guardian of the underworld and its secrets, known to take the posessions of shades that somehow manage to take some of those with them. It would explain the multi faceted personality, why he's always awake (Cerberus only sleeps with one head at a time) and why he can take a power off the dying. While he had the strange personality thing before he had the fruit, it's been shown repeatedly that for fruits that are to awaken, the person usually already fits the fruit somehow.

I don't know if you follow the Anime Balls Deep channel at all but they posted a really interesting video awhile ago about Blackbeard in reference to his multiple fruits and his presence and opposition to Luffy. It also lends credence to your statement of similarities with the siblings, but in a different way, that way being multiple personalities just like you were stating. Definitely recommend checking it out. Also really liked your comparison to the Twelve Apostles, another very intriguing notion. Regardless it'll be an extremely amazing finale when these two titans of the series clash in both principles and combat

Ridiculous Theory: What if Rocks .D Xebec was Luffy's grandfather on his mother's side? It would make sense why Rocks has a few similarities to Luffy. If that's the case, then it's possible for Dragon or Garp meet Luffy's mother during the Godvalley incident. As much as I don't believe it, it's possible that the world government covered up the incidences involving Rocks's methods for completing in goal.
