Mjolnir didn't came back because she sent it into Singularity, and she is bassically a separated reality herself. Thor can't call for Mjolnir from another dimension or universe, so it made sense.

The problem is Marvel has weak editors that won’t rein in the writers’ worse impulses. Look at what they have allowed Cates and Aaron to do - essentially ignore canon just to tell whatever narrative they want for the characters they like. Or worse. Just ridiculously OP without having earned her power, pretty much a douche and generally, boring. And second 'you should have researched X' is a stupid argument. In case I have to do 'research' outside of the movie in order to make sense of things, then the movie and its authors have failed already. Even someone who has _never_ heard of super heroes, mutants and of all the famous comic characters and watches the movies without any preparation should be perfectly capable of understanding who is who and what is going on. Look at 'Lord of the Rings'. We get an introduction of all the characters, we get an insight into their motivations and their struggle and all of them have story arc that makes sense and explains their actions. Damn, Boromir is one of the best written characters I have _ever_ seen in a movie, he has what, 20; 25 minutes of screentime and within those 25 minutes we learn who he is, we learn about his inner struggle, we see him getting tempted and fall for the temptation, which he has sensible reasons for, and he redeems himself in the end. And I had _nothing_ to research in order to understand this character.
