i like the fact your realistic in your videos, yes it's hard on equipment, yes it bogs the truck down, yes traction can be an issue. still an amazing operation and amazing tools you're running.

Gas is better for plowing imo. Plenty of power and much less expensive up front and easier and less expensive to operate and maintain. Unless you're towing a lot of heavy stuff on a regular basis and burning lots of fuel the diesel won't really pay for itself.

SE, MI: St. Clair, CO. We're predicted anything from 3 to 9 inches lmao. This is going to be an interesting one. We've gotten 14 last year in about 5 hours, this snow part of the storm is predicted to hit us between 3am Friday morning into Friday night about 11pm. Since I've been in business in 2018, this is a first for as long as it's going to last for us. 98% of our snowstorms typically hit between 3 and 4pm the afternoon before we go out and last until 4am the next morning. I'm basically seeing a 10th of an inch an hour for at least 4 hours, .2" per hour for around 6hrs, and .3 or higher for around 11hrs.Good Luck if you have to plow for a business, and stay safe!

I don’t understand why you don’t grid the lot; start at one end and then work together wind rowing the snow steady until lot is finished. It seems that you guys just drive wherever instead of like one row then the next row and keep it moving like waves

The plow is too big for the truck. I understand the need to get into tight areas and do drive ways and get it done faster, but I think you would benefit from a non CDL medium duty with a plow like that. I almost said with a wing but that would probably make parking lots more difficult.
@zacharydanneels3088
@zacharydanneels3088 2 жыл бұрын
The 12' and 14' Sno-Power plows are advertised for and with 3/4 ton and 1 ton pickups. The main blade is only like 14/15" high. The biggest issue they're having is cupping the plow while they're pushing long runs, instead they should have it break off on the right OR left side wing. Cup the left and break on the right or vice versa. Never cup the entire plow unless you're on the last run and win-rolled towards the center. Then you'll only have one hard run and a couple of cleanup runs. Plus it doesn't help that it seems there are a few "snow removal KZbinrs" on here that don't have a route when plowing. It seems like they just push through the parking lot wherever and takes much longer instead of pushing from one side to the other and have two trucks work from opposite ends of the parking lot.
@GarrettWilliams2017
@GarrettWilliams2017 Жыл бұрын
@@zacharydanneels3088 definitely some truth to this. And some guys on here to have a full route, but they’re not gonna Show them going forward and back 50 times in a row that would get old. So when I am filming, I do sometimes just push here and there to kind of show around the site. Will try and make a video on how we actually plow a lot this winter.

You guys are all over the place as far as plowing, plowing in the middle lane and dumping snow off both sides of your blade, you should be plowing away from the building then you’re dumping snow with the entry of the aisle. You just seem to be driving all over the property. Nothing is in order. You make twice as much work for yourself.
