I'm Polish, been living in Glasgow for the past decade. I could never explain this, but there is a sense of space and freedom about this City. I have always felt so free in here. I remember when after initial couple of yers in Glasgow I moved back home for four years. The longing in my heart was incredible, I had dreams with these three colours: steel blue sky, deep green, red sandstone... When came to visit again, it was cloudy and rainy, I felt so happy and relieved... Like coming home... strange feeling to develope after only such a short stay. Now I know it's all about the physical beauty of the place combined with people's hearts. Even the junkies are trying to be polite and nice 😂 Never heard a single bad word against me in Scotland, always refered to as Big man (im 6ft4) even by total strangers kids and grannies alike which I find hillarious. Love the peculiar superpolitness like when person leaving the shop always steps back to let you in hahaha 😂 It took me a long while to adapt to it. In Poland it's the other way round. I raise six beautiful children. All they ever get from people is love and smiles and praise. Makes me think, God they are not prepared for the real world 😅. And they all speak pure Glaswegian which i personally think is the funniest and the most distinctive of all English accents. Always tried to master it. Locals will get amused and recognise I must be a Dutchman whilst down south I am taken for a Scot yeaaaah!!! As a builder I get to see peoples homes a lot. Cant imagine more music loving nation. There's a guitar or a piano or drums or sth else in every second place! Everyone sings and sings well. Clean water in taps, wilderness half an hour drive away from City, clean air, cheap life, pubs full of Dwarfs and Hobbits... its almost too good to believe. And when Im in the hills on my own, looking down on Loch Lomond and singing quietly to myself By yon bonny banks... I often look in the sky and cry a little and thank you God for making Scotland and letting me be part of it ❤❤❤

Although me and my family moved back to Hungary, we feel blessed to have two homes, as our heart - especially my kids' - will always be a bit Scottish. This video always makes me so emotional.
