That night, I, as a 17-year-old, walked up to Video Drive-in, to rent 'Hitch', which had just been released on DVD. En route, I was asked by an unbelievably attractive girl (who was about 22-23) for directions to the city centre (she was in her car). Being a clueless, anxiety-addled adolescent, I was utterly bereft of the wherewithal to help her with directions. The whole exchanged was a microcosm of my then inability to talk to girls. It's amazing, the effect music can have on people, and the memories it can inspire.
