PLUG - N - PLAY 5 Channel DSP Amp installation!

I have a GEN4 in my 2014 GMC Sierra and I’m replacing it with the new GEN5, also I’m putting the new five channel LWA-500.5 amp using the plug and play wiring harness. Very excited about doing this! But I do have one question before tackling this. Should the wiring harness from the amp be plugged into the harness that’s labeled “to radio connect”. I think I know the answer, but when you get up in age you want to ask the experts. P.S. I really enjoy all the videos concerning the ‘Linkswell products, keep them coming 👍. Dan

I have Gen4 in my 18’ F250. Do the units have an remote turn on for aftermarket amps or do you need this harness?

They do. On the main power harness is an orange wire marked AMP EN that is your amp turn on. The harness on this video is specific for the amp not the radio.

Will this connect to the linkswell 12 inch flatscreen and a f150 instead of the factory radio

Will this work with Bose speakers? I have the Gen V T style radio.

The Amp will but you will not be able to plug-n-play a T-harness because you will have to remove the BOSE amp and replace it. You would be better off using our 10 channel though due to the BOSE system speaker set up. The dash and door speakers are separate signals. So you would need at least 6 channels to run your door and dash speakers and then a 7th channel for the factory sub. Our 10 channel amp can be wired as an 8 channel. So that would give youth best sound and application for replacing a BOSE system. But again no plug-n-play harnesses.

Can I use it in my 2016 1500 Ram with Gen V Linkswell? what is the rated power? there is a only 4 channel amp? if yes at what Rms? the Linkswell headunit its doing 4x45 Rms?

You can install it in what ever you wanted to. The 4 channel is 80x4 The 5 channel is 80x4 / 180x1 The 10 channel is 100x10 The Plug-N-Play harnesses work on the 4&5 channels and only on vehicles that are equipped with the standard audio. If your vehicle has the factory amplified system you would have to rewire past the factory amp.

It will not because the GEN 4 doesn't have a TOSLYNK output. You can use the Speaker level inputs on the GEN 4 though.
