How well does this machine work on anodized aluminum? Thanks for the review.

No problem. I haven't tested anodized aluminum but all of my blue diode lasers (more than a dozen) can mark it without problems because anodizing absorbs the wavelength from that laser type. You should be able to work any coated (not to be confused with plated) metal with this machine, and bare stainless steel only.

It's not the A24 but the X24 :)

The official name from Atomstack HQ is the A24 (see the link). The X24, which is the same machine, is sold by their reseller - they just rebranded it. I collaborated with their reseller when I reviewed the X40.

@@JamesBiggar Big "A" has the A model for $569 - after a $130 coupon, the X model for $699. Big "A" AND Atomstack website touts the X as a "second generation" so, IF the "A" and "X" is REALLY the same, then the A model for $569 would be the beat deal.. Hummm....

You would be best suited to find another company. AtomStack provides no service/support. And zero information

Lol, people say this about everyone. I think that in reality, we usually get what we give in terms of respect. I've been dealing with them professionally for quite a while. I deal with quite a few laser engraving companies. Own dozens of hobby and commercial machines. My first from Atomstack was the X30. Was impressed with the quality, but it didn't work out of the box. However, tech support was super cooperative. Sent me 3 modules at no charge to try before we decided it was a controller issue. They let me keep the X30 and all three modules and sent me the X40 MAX to replace it with loads of apologies.
