Really like these KX7 concaves! When can we get the harvest update for how they did in wheat?
@WernerAg5 жыл бұрын
Should be next week as we should wrap up harvest by this weekend. I'll have videos releasing this week.

We have drops every 60" or 30" with low to ground (18" above the ground) with 6 lb regulators on 20 tower systems. Our soil is very fine, almost dust if the structure is destroyed. To make 260 to 300, we apply 18" and hopefully >12" of rain. We are very different but still much the same.

You can run FieldNET on a phase converter system. I can start a machine right now from my phone that’s got a phase converter. FieldNet will handle all of it.
@WernerAg5 жыл бұрын
Will it automatically start the phase converter so you don't have to leave it on?
@tmx8645 жыл бұрын
Werner Farms yes it will start the phase converter when you command the system to move and it will shutdown the phase converter when the pivot is shut down. It’s a life changer lol

Do you have greasse zerks on chopers bearing? A I have an S760 and it came with no grease zerk, also the john deere guys told me not grease the choper. But I'm a litlle scared not to catch fire.
@WernerAg5 жыл бұрын
I just greased the combine yesterday and did not see any but I am going to double check in the book to make sure
@raduvas905 жыл бұрын
@@WernerAg well, on the newest model they remove the grease zerks. But I think its a terrible ideea not to grease the chopper. And how will I know when the bearing needs to be change before I'l catch fire.

Alot of guys dont buy the 3rd piece of concaves from sunnybrook and just use the JD factory round bar. Saves some money.

Awesome video. Good to see you back. If you dont mind me asking what made you decide the kx7 concaves over something like estes concaves?
@WernerAg5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Personal design preference over the Estes.

Are you happy with your investment with the KX7’s in wheat and corn?
@WernerAg4 жыл бұрын
Yes the cleaner samples and better threshing makes them a must

Did you guys buy this combine new? I couldn't remember

We bought it used last December
@Tractormanpj5 жыл бұрын
Why do you have to change concaves?
@WernerAg5 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily that we need to but we prefer to for increased performance in wheat. We are also going to these Kondex concaves as they seem to look significantly better than the OEM Deere concaves.
@starks14145 жыл бұрын
You cant combine wheat or canola with round bar .... well you can but your sample will be shit so you need to change to a small wire concave for cereals and oilseeds

Man haven’t seen drops that high off the ground on a center pivot in over 20 years.. Why so high off the ground
@WernerAg5 жыл бұрын
That is common in our area and that is how tge pivots with drops are sold. I have yet to see drops any lower in our area.
@rokinrattler5 жыл бұрын
Werner Farms yea in our dry area where the pivots are half a mile long the closer to the ground the better some of the farmers even let them drag the ground and run a soaker
