I have to add a limiter every time I want to use it because the volume is so low. I turn the main plugin volume all the way up and the channel strip volume all the way up but its still barely loud enough. Does anyone know why or if this is the way it's supposed to be?? Other than that I think it sounds great compared to other wanna be bass guitar sounds I have in my daw

With volume on full it outputs around -18db to -10dB which is where you ideally should be in your DAW to hit your plugins with the optimum level.

No, me too. Not that bad but not so far better than the free one or stock logic Bass.

I dont think it sounds bad but for sure not at the same level as the top bass plug-ins. But it is definitely usable and sound is only one aspect, playability and easy of use are also important

No. Not really terribad but subpar for sure. As mega subscriber I was really looking into this one, since I do programm base plenty in my production routine (and sometimes I even keep the programmed one instead of replaying it on a live instrument), but this thing, unfortunately, is not good for commercial stuff at all. Basically every modern modeller will wipe the floor with it. Wich makes me kinda sadge.

@@raggafury Agreed. But in this example, the bass sound is mixed way too bright, I mean - the top end of the spectrum of the other instruments get masked out. Funk bass can sound good toppy, but this guy just went overboard. It's not the plug-in, it's the producer. Just my 5 cents. Remember it's a DI plugin - and the ampeg amp plug just made the sound worse IMHO. Bought the plug-in with my $50 loyality voucher though. ;)

These will do in a pinch I guess, if you write music for commercials and stuff. For productions, I find that samples/modellers for bass arent even close to the real deal. This one included. Always too bright and lack or articulation. Even a pawn shop bass into a decent preamp, into virtually any amp sim (I recommend Bx Ampeg!) will sound a million times better. Especially with finger style. Its no contest. Its funny, were close with pianos but not bass
