A lot of times ,"Cavitation can be caused by Undersized Pipework allied with bad pipe geometry, i.e the use of 90 deg Elbows rather than slow swept bends or nice Pulled bends, better still Two 45 degree bends to continue a run... the reason for the slower pump speed is ,too high a Suction lift, basically the circulation pump is pulling and discharging faster the the liquid can be supplied into the pump chamber creating serious Bubbles of Vapour...which are incompressible just like Ball Bearing being fired at the Mechanical of the Pump and also eroding the vanes on the impeller...thus creating the shortening of the life of the pump seal... then you have leaks across the seal faces... Great Upload, really great to see a really skilled Plumber / Heating Engineer at work , your Dad mentored you really well you're a credit to him...

Top video as always, love the fact you show real life situations where you can't always be neat when soldering in awkward spaces 🙂 Also top tip for water in the pipe scenario, me and my mate Shane discovered out of shear desperation when a difficult system was taking forever to drain down, we grabbed my shiny new Karcher wet and dry vac (WD6) and cut a pipe we had planed to alter then whacked the end of the hoover on the pipe, boom! to our amazement it sucked literally gallons out in just a couple of minutes even though the hoover pipe was much bigger than the 22mm we had just cut. No more drip drip drip! completely bone dry. I had only bought it as a job site hoover and for spills, now it's my new best friend Happy Days 🙂🍻

Sucks it out in seconds! Another trick is to have a mate about a meter down the pipe with a blow torch on it - evaporates the water as it approaches and gives you the chance to get the solder done - tried them all I have!

Have a problem with 2 new radiators in extension. It’s all Hep2 o the connection for these 2 Radiators is a manifold with 4 connections. But I want to fit it correctly with 2 to cold and 2 to hot. But here not easy to find. And most access points are in the smallest place in the eaves.

Am doing an install at the minute, this is nothing to do with video but hope you can shed some light. system has auto bypass valve in normal place before the valves, does the expansion vessel and pressure relief valve/filling loop need to be in this loop (after bypass has tee'd back into return pipe) or can it go before the auto bypass tees back in, on the return pipe (after HWC tees with CH)? Can't see any details about it online, I assume after the tee but just checking as would be easier before....

Hi, I am hoping you can help please? I've had new rads fitted and some TRVs have been added to my returns and now have no idea how to balance it. The main Rad in the livingroom is luke warm at the bottom and hot up the top and I'm really confused how to approach this. When I adjust it, it affects the others. To make matters worse I have 14 radiators and have no idea which is 1st in my run. Sorry for all of the questions. Do you have a video that could help please? Thank you

Was this is sealed system? If so, will the pressure not drop down when air is released through the automatic air valve?
@plumberparts2 жыл бұрын
Yes on both, that's why my next job would be fixing the creation of air. But this can be a reet pain!
@330d52 жыл бұрын
@@The_Invisible_Self Surely the proper fix is to work out where the air is coming from and stop it?

Must admit. I think I'd of popped on a couple of lever valves on the wet side. Isolate them for soldering in the tees. Nice to see you've sorted it though
@Realworldnews2472 жыл бұрын
James it’s the 45 degree angle of those pipes In the loft which is causing air to accumulate and the air bubbles are joining causing one large air bubble, change that to 90 degree straight pipe and it should fix it
@johnward50062 жыл бұрын
Aav's should only be used for initial filling and venting, once system is air free and circulating, best practice is close the cap. They aren't foolproof. In a sealed system, loss of system pressure will be apparent with or without aav's. High ph is a likely cause of pressure loss, so water quality tests ( ie. I test by scalemaster) and loads of QUALITY added inhibitor. Continued air entrainment issues, pressure loss ,circulation issues need resolution as part of the process.
@plumberparts2 жыл бұрын
I love the word QUALITY in caps. so much knock off inhibitor out there atm. ADEY all the way.
