In the UK the last branch you tee in a soil stack must be 450mm above the pipe in the ground to comply with wras (water regulation approved scheme) as it may splash back when you flush. Other than that you should tee off into your underground pipe and maybe add an inspection chamber with risers flush to the ground. Did it always work with no problems? Prior to 1999 it was compliant. Nice work though!

To make the cored hole (coming out of the wall ) larger ... instead of you using your chipping hammer I would use your 4 inch grinder. use a stone grinding blade and hold it at 45° against the inside of the hole and it will give you a wider concave aperture which the socket of the elbow to sit further inside the wall.The hole just looks a little bit neater when you are finished

I was thinking of installing a wee cupboard WC downstairs , but I'm in a Steele house so is there a drile that will go right through the brick & Steele or will I have to make a circle in the Steele with smaller bits to màke a larger hole

Maybe cut the floor around the bottom of the pipe, so that the new fitting can slide lower down onto the bottom pipe and would be able to clear the top pipe and slide right up.

Soil pipe is secured on brackets so there isn't any load on it.

I used the tile cutter blade and the flaxi t was bought from toolstation for round about 17 pounds. The reason I bought flaxi fittings was that they were much easier to bend and fit. Kind regards
