Where's the gravel for compacting the pipe so it keeps grade? "Clean work?" Yes. Improper trench? Hell yes
@Hazardman51
@Hazardman51 Жыл бұрын
@@daddy1571 you never put gravel under a pipe in a trench. trench grade is made when digging and with native soil. You only have to bed a trench if it's rocky.
@daddy1571
@daddy1571 Жыл бұрын
@@Hazardman51 LMAO! Wrong! Listen to what you just wrote...Bedded on native soil? It will sag as soon as it's backfilled! If the pipe isn't bedded on top of compacted gravel(at least tamped down with the back of a shovel as you grade your pipe) it will sag. I've seen camera shots of sagged pipe that wasn't bedded properly. I wouldn't want to see any of your waste pipe after backfilling on a camera lol. Guaranteed your $hit has no grade and possibly backgraded too. You're a $hitty plumber

@@Hazardman51 I've been a plumber for 22 years. I've seen pipe that my guys backfilled WITHOUT compacting gravel underneath it (which is code in my state) This was a new sewer line install. When they camera'd the line they found that after compaction,the pipe had sunk lower than the fernco. Why? Improperly bedded pipe. They didn't use the gravel sitting next to them. They dug it up,installed compacted 3/4" minus gravel,and the problem was solved. They learned a good lesson too. If you really think "native" soil is enough to support pipe,than I can't insult you for being a completely incompetent plumber. You do that yourself for the dumb $hit that you think!
