Add a small light bulb on a temperature switch. No way it can freeze. I do this on everything.

I cannot turn the small valve to closed. It won’t move. What do I do to get it to shut? This is the valve that has the pipe cover for servicing, I assume.

They do that over time, I use a pair of pliers to break it free. once you get it moving it should work fine.

Same here. I tried the pliers and the valve handle broke off. Now here I’m here.
