Sakura Quickie Glue Pen Review

After my Decofoil pen, go.for.jo on Instagram suggested trying the Sakura Quickie Glue Pen for more detailed glue placement. After scouring the internet, I finally got my hands on one and have given it a nice test out with foil, but also with glitter and sequins. I'm always happy to receive suggestions and will always record my results for you all to see too!

Have you tried letting the glue dry fully and then applying the foil + pressure? It might work

Hi! If you have a Minc machine (or a laminator), it might work nicely to heat foil once the glue has dried. I’ve had great success with heat foiling using the Tombow glue pen (similar, looks and works just like a gel pen). Waiting until it’s completely dry avoids the blobby bits... (which you then realised after I’d drafted my comment 👍🎉) I haven’t tried it with this particular glue pen - and also not sure if the foil you’re using is the same type, though the Minc foil would be of course. I found my way here looking for reviews on glue pens for gluing sequins, etc. So thanks for showing that! Love hearing a fellow Aussie too 😘

how do you unblock the pen please. there is glue in the pen but it wont come out.many thanks.

Hi Maria. I'm so sorry, but I've never had an issues with them clogging. Best advice I can give is to maybe rub it between your hands to warm up the glue. I am sorry to not be more help.

Minc foil requires heat!

It actually doesn't.. you can use it with glues, both liquid and tapes. Try it and see what you can do!
