Thanks for this it has given me the confidence to tackle my AEG Plunge router it a good powerful router but as you have mentioned it is time consuming and difficult to get a accurate depth. and for some reason there is no line or indicator on my AEG router telling me where the centre is. So this is a good way not to waste a power tool.

Hector, it works perfectly on my router, just make sure that the part that the screw passes through is big enough to act as a nut. Also keep the screw thread clean and lubricated. Hope that helps, Bob.

Impressive sir! I love the modification to your plunge router the most. I'm seriously considering this myself although I'm considering investing the coin in a fixed base router that can be adjusted this way. I just can't see me adjusting my plunge router accurately for say a lock miter unless I modified it like you did. At least not without a lot of cursing, wasted wood and probably throwing something and breaking it LOL! This is a huge downfall in the design of plunge bases but of course they want you to buy both or even a second router 🙄 It's all about separating us from our money and not truly universal and useful designs.
