I prune the branches not thin them.

spend 15 minutes a day every day for a few weeks u can also thin with some with clippers.......

So much to do though in the garden or in life, I usually just kick the base of the tree and the weak ones fall off

@@ZaatarGardens i understand but thinning is so important i guess if u have a whole orchard to do by hand it can b tedious then again it could b worse with a bad fruit set how was that harvest

Well like I said I kick bottom of the tree and it knocks off the small ones but the fruit set was huge Dapple Dandy had at least 200 flavor Grenade probably the same

Have you tried Emerald Drop Pluot? It is like Grenade, but bit sweeter, just perfect balance of tartiness with sweetness. Just as crunchy, savory texture.

All you have to do really is kick the base of the tree, The shaking of the branches will shake off any weak, small fruit. The Harvest with Pluots is extremely impressive, it’s so amazing how much these trees can hold and to size up and give enough sugar per fruit

@@ZaatarGardens better question is...once you planted your tree to the ground, how many years does it took you to have fruits, not just one but a bucket full. I planted a shiro plum and took two years to get one mature fruits. It's a 3 old tree, going to it's 4th years now. Also, ordering a flavor grenada, flavor queen and flavor king from online. The nursery said it's a 2 years old stocks. It would be nice to know when to expect fruiting once I plant them in the spring time. Thanks again and love your garden.

Three years in ground is the key for a bucket of fruit in my experience in my garden, with all my fruit trees
