Oh, That's 'Dyna Girl' Judy Strangis riding Shotgun in the Gold Duster. Even when I see clips of 'Electra Woman and Dyna Girl' today, I cannot (in my life) imagine that Judy was born in '49... that just blows my mind. And more interestingly enough, Deidre Hall who played 'Electra Woman' was only two years older than Judy; Deidre born in '47. I was only 9 years old at the time of this show, and yes, I too had a crush on Judy at the time; one of the reasons why I watched the show back them. Also, I honestly thought Deidra Hall was much older than Judy in the show. But now I see how they just used a bit of 'movie magic' to make Judy look so much younger in the show; her short stature and cute ponytails played well in giving Judy that young girl appearance. According to Judy's IMDb bio, she was only 5'1" whereas Deidre was 5'7" but played the part and had a look of being a more mature woman as well on the show. I also found it interesting that Judy started in movie in 1957; her first movie role in 'Dragoon Wells Massacre.' Then later played many roles before starring in 'EW&DG,' including The Twilight Zone (1963) and the Batman tv show in 1966 (IMDb, 2022). Funny side story: my mother bought a 1973 (possibly a '74; I can't remember) Plymouth Duster in '81... one of the nicest cars she ever had, and a car we spent many long miles and road trips in. Aside from the Duster, my mother also owned a Plymouth Satellite that that we traveled a lot in across California, but sadly, it got totaled one night by some drunk guy who crashed into her parked car. And later, the Duster got repo'd after my mother lost her job. Yeah, some good times and some bad times in my childhood. But Sid and Marty Krofft had a way of making a bad situation pretty good for a lot of kids back then... lots of great kids shows, including 'Electra Woman and Dyna Girl.'

In the commercials, she was known as "Mean Mary Jean". When her character spoke she'd always say "Know what I mean?"

I had a “Powder Blue” 1974 Plymouth Gold Duster. I got it in the summer of 1978, right after I graduated from high school. I traded it for a 1976 Triumph Spitefire in 1980, shortly after I started dating the lovely young lady who is now my wife. I wish I could have both those cars back, but at least I got to keep the girl!

@@dangeroreilly2028 Nice! Mine was a base model, black bench seats, slant six, without power steering and brakes. No air, AM radio. I put a Craig AM-FM cassette deck (in-dash), 40-watt Pioneer power booster, and Radio Shack enclosed three-way speakers. It wasn’t fast or comfortable, but it looked good and had tunes, lol. Her parents were Pentecostal, so they didn’t like the bench seats, lol.

WOW- this is the car my dad bought new for my mom back in the day as a surprise. Mom was surprised but not too pleased! Same White with black 1/2 vinyl top, but hers had strip-the-flesh-off-your-legs black vinyl interior. Also had optional fold-down back seat so we could crawl into the trunk or sleep with our feet in the trunk on long trips!

If it's correct that this is a '74 commercial, then it showed a car manufactured early in '74. It has the huge bumper guards that were from '73. Early 74's used up the last of that stock. And the vinyl top shown was called a "canopy vinyl roof" by Plymouth.

The singer sure sounds like the guy who used to bellow "baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and Chevrolet..." I guess he has divided loyalties.
