Once you have the substrate in it you won’t even know it’s a plywood bottom. From the side it looks just like a regular frame!!! Nice! Never knew you could fix a tank like this! Very interesting.

How did this turn out. I can’t find any video of this being Finished or leak tested. I need to replace the bottom of my 190 that broke during a move. Thanks

Unfortunately I haven't finished the build yet, I can only work on this tank in my unheated garage and silicone won't cure properly while it's cold, a friend of mine had his 225 break and rebuilt the bottom in the same manner by following these videos and it holds water and leak tested perfectly.

@@TrafishAquatics awesome man. Thanks for the follow up. A friend and I were moving the brand new to me 190 glass cages full setup and he dropped his end and smashed the bottom glass. As long as I can remove the busted glass I there’s hope with this method. Thanks again

I used denatured alcohol, but you can also use 99% isopropyl.
