Katie Telford, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's chief of staff, testifies as part of a committee study on foreign interference in Canada's elections. The Prime Minister's Office agreed on March 21 to allow Telford to testify at the House of Commons Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs, ending a filibuster from Liberal members of the committee to prevent a vote on a motion summoning her to appear. The study comes amid media reports of alleged Chinese interference in the 2019 and 2021 Canadian federal elections.
