Honestly, this is the VERY 1st Pokemon game ever that I actually finished the Pokedex, I was always disappointed I could never finish the Dex in older games cuz I needed these crazy things called "friends", never heard of these tools, tried to make some, didn't work out, turns out I'm what the kids call "weird"...Thank you Gamefreak for making something I could hide away for 2 weeks, not sleep, not talk to anyone, not eat, but have SOOOOOOO much fun being addicted to a Pokemon drug, *OWW* I mean game.

When I did have friends none of them played Pokémon bc they were too “cool” or something I’m a 24 yr old and still love this game lost interest throughout the X Y and sun and moon eras But this game is amazing And I’ve also never completed one Pokémon dex so can relate to that Pokémon sapphire and platinum were my favourite my brother had them on gameboy advance and grew up on that Then we got the switch and I’m loving the new games!!!

Cherubi was the biggest pain for me. I spent so long trying to find them and then the moment that I got to research 10 there was a Cherubi outbreak. I was quite upset.

Happen to me looking ages for one for the quest called to bloom or not to bloom after i completed the quest suddenly there was an outbreak of cherub i also got the research at 10 cus i like to get the research done before i evolve the pokemon

... When defeated, you could have picked "Resume", and then not only would you be back at "full health", but you would keep your progress with "quelling the frenzy"... It's the ONLY reason I was able to complete my fight. Do I feel like I took the easy way out? Yes. Do I feel guilty? Yes and no. Do I regret it? No. That fight was HARD. And as fun as the game was, I just wanted to complete a Pokemon game beyond the main storyline for once... and I have other things to worry about in my life (unfortunately) without this game distracting me.

I swear I got lucky with an easy version of this fight. It took me 3 attempts and I only ever saw 4 attacks. The blue shock waves with meteors, the judgement attack, the purple orbs he charges and the huge purple area attack where you gotta get close to him. I never saw the dash through the cracks, the blue charged orbs, the multiple arceus on the blue area attack or anything else. Anyways, well done mate!

It’s so much easier if you use ZL targeting and the Arceus boss battle takes different mechanics from the other noble fights such as the arcanine nuke and every attack is telegraphed perfectly. Sound design is also fantastically telegraphed so you know when to dodge roll

Had to share this. My 8yo daughter who has been playing pokemon for 1 month just started playing Sword last night. This morning she low key caught a full odds shiny corphish. I saw the sparkle out of the corner of my eye but shiny corphish is pretty subtle so I wasn't sure until I looked at the summary. She asked me if she should even bother catching it, I said yes, she had a TR for waterfall and now it's a monster. Fyi I've been playing since gen 3 and have NEVER caught a fill odds shiny.

Anyone else heard of "charms" in the game? Do they give you more health or something? I'm curious. Someone mentioned them but never elaborated.

Charms are bought from the old lady next to the shrine near the combat training area in town. All charms go into your inventory when purchased. Survival Charm gives you more "hit points" when you (Not your Pokemon.) are taking damage, i.e. it makes you harder to be knocked out by Pokemon attacking you. The Warding Charm keeps you (Again, not your Pokemon.) from being effected by status conditions from getting hit by Pokemon (You can't be poisoned, etc although I believe some effects can still "stun" you.). The Tempting Charm works a little different. If you ARE knocked out while it is in your inventory, it destroys itself but you do not lose the contents of your satchel the way you normally would if you got KO'ed. You can buy more from the old lady.

It took me 2 hours to beat and catch Arceus…my hands were so cramped from clutching the console and I was cursing like a sailor the whole time. I figured out it’s first round of attacks fairly quickly but when it started fucking disappearing and then glass dimension breaking out of nowhere I almost threw my switch at the wall. The only other boss battle that I had trouble with while playing the game was Arcanine.

The only games I have ever played were the main series Pokémon games and when this one came out it is a different experience because of the fact you have to worry about the Pokémon directly attacking you.

I started watching this series at the beginning of Nov 9 & finished it all the way through at 30th Nov. This is the 2nd playthrough of LA that I got to the end from the start. The 1st was Mandjtv's, it's cuz his playthrough mostly contained of highlights & heavily shortened down to few episodes than it needed to be.

At 130 hours I have Done ALL Side quests. All pokemon and up to level 10. All Unknown. All 20 of those hidden passages of those poems. Game at 100% complete. :) I am not usually a 100% guy. not even in pokemon games. But this one I enjoyed getting to.
