I took about a 4 month break from shiny hunting Giratina in Platinum, randomly got the urge to do some resets today and threw on KZbin... A little over 5 minutes into this video, after 24,009 SRs since November of last year, I finally got that beautiful blue Giratina. Now that's a PM7 gurantee, thanks for the luck! To put this into perspective, Chansey is considered to be one of the hardest Pokemon to catch due to its low catch rate and the Safari Zone mechanics. Chansey has a catch rate of 30. John just caught the equivalent of 20 Safari Zone Chansey in under an hour.

Also I don't really care about higher shiny odds most of the time but what I really glad is they made competitive team building much easier than previous games and I still want to have it easier, hope they'll put the Effort levels in P:LA to the mainline games.

Oh yeah I definitely agree there, building a team is the only thing that puts me off in competitive. I think it will still be the IV and EV spread system, but hopefully adjustments to make highering and lowering them easier
