You don't need to buy the clay paste separately. Just put a bit of clay inside a mini jar, add a few drops of distilated water and mix gently until you get a paste.

Why did you put the clay on the folded paper? To get the wings to stand out a little. But when you fire it, they fall flat again. Shouldn't yoy support the wings when firing?

I take it that you need to know what stones to use that can endure this kind of heating. Using just any type pretty stone might cause cracks, or even produce gases that can kill you.

I dry mine in the oven at the lowest temperature possible.

Yes! Me too, than I bought some table hot "plate", also pretty convenient! But mine no have stabled temperature :((

I put my oven outside the room, because I also use it to bake polymer clay, and not it is too fat to go to use it for drying metal clay))
