PMD Concealed Ruins (Reorchestrated)

Aegis Cave is for squares, right? Why even BOTHER, Aegis Cave-because Concealed Ruins is better in every single way, and doesn’t have the world’s stupidest Unown collect-a-thon. Do I sound bitter? ‘Scuz I am. I’ve wanted to score Concealed Ruins for quite a while now, and have just now gotten around to finishing it after about a month long fight with the song. Music is hard sometimes. In true Rusty fashion though, I pushed through (the wall in Aegis Cave…) and I think this is some of my best work! I got to mess about with a lot more instruments, the percussion was a blast to make, and that stab at the end just needed to be stabbed. Musically. Not, well, other stabbed. Also I added a break in the song that doesn’t exist in the source material, so that’s fun too. Also did I mention the percussion? Dat timpani. I hope you are all well, enjoy the piece, and are looking forward to whatever I end up churning out next! Hopefully you won’t have to wait another month for a new song, but hey-rather have a perfectly baked song rather than a half cooked one, yeah?

Q: What do you use to produce your music?
A: High quality samples, my wits, and Logic Pro 9. For video editing I use iMovie 9 (because the new one is impossible to figure out), and for image editing I flip-flop between Pixelmator and Photoshop CS-something.
Q: Can I use your music in a video / monetized video?
A: Absolutely. You don’t even need to ask my permission, just add a link to my channel in the description of your video and it’s all good. No need to make it all complicated. Go right ahead. A: I don’t accept donations at this time, but watching my videos (liking etc.) helps. The horrors of the Unown marathon... *shudders* That part was so awful, I can't believe that I had the patience back then. The music definitely kept me going, though. It's downright catchy and never gets old. The composers knew what they were doing. This arrangement catches the feeling of the original while also adding its own twist as well. Very sweet job as per usual.

I agree with you that this is probably your best work. The levels are all really consistent, there's minimal clash among the frequencies, and the arrangement itself is really interesting! Love that original section towards the middle, it breaks up the pace and keeps the structure from getting too repetitive on the listener. You should do that more often! :) Great job as always, dude! On my second play through of the game, I beat the second cave in one try. The rest, like probably everyone else's attempts, we're just long and super irritating. I have no idea how that was considered a good idea. Screw that cave! Minus the music obviously.

You know, given their name, you'd think Unown would put up more of a fight one-on-one, but they have to team up to bring you down? Bit of a letdown. This is a fantastic piece of music though, more than Regigigas or Unown would ever deserve.
