This is nostalgic. I used to fly A-10s out of Myrtle Beach AFB. The apron area from where you launched is where the 353rd, 354th, and 355th Fighter Squadrons were parked. The large concrete pad to the left of the taxiway, near the approach end of Runway 18, which you taxied past, was the "last chance check" area. This is where ground crew would pull the safety pins from weapons and give the exterior of each aircraft a final visual inspection prior to takeoff.

When were you stationed in Myrtle Beach? I spent 6 years in Myrtle from 1984 till 1990. I worked in Line-D for Falcon CMU in the bomb dump. We operated out of the little brick building out by the engine test cell. I had a close friend and neighbor off base in my condo building that also flew for Falcon. He crashed his A-10 and died tragically though.

I had the opportunity to fly in a DC-7 once as a younger child. It was stripped down and used as a cargo plane my uncle was the pilot and he and my father bought the plane in an attempt to start a cargo transport company. They only made one trip flying cattle to Hawaii I didn't go on that trip but I did help load the cattle and that was quite an experience.

At 13:25 you said that you would not engage takeoff wet because it’s not raining. Takeoff wet and dry does not mean weather. If you watch the PMDG videos the guy mentions that you would use takeoff wet for when your airplane is heavier than 91,000lbs. Basically there’s some sort of water pump system in the engines that allows the engines to have more power during takeoff. I love your videos though! I can’t wait to see your videos for the PMDG 737!

Just to let you know, takeoff dry or wet is not runway condition. It's based off weight. Anything over 86k and you need take off wet. To give the plane the needed lift to fly. Take off wet puts water in the cylinders to give them more thrust. PMDG has a tutorial about the system on their yt channel for it

I notice you have 4 throttles - how did you set that up? what are the two outer most lever set as? The Thrustmaster website shows two throttles and a lever, and says they're 'swappable', so did you buy have to buy two sets and physically reconfigure them yourself?
@jfavignano2 жыл бұрын
Yes I have two throttle quadrants and the left is spoilers eng 1 and 2 and the right one is 3 and 4 and flaps. You plug them Both in and there is a switch on the front you select to choose eng 1-2 or eng 1-3 so it works out of the box. If you want to mount them to the desk you need a desk clamp and the smaller desk clamp can mount two together. The bigger desk mount you can hard mount them to which ai plan to do.
