There is a very similar lift called the Burr Handy Lift (google it) that is sold in the United States. The platform on the Burr Handy Lift does not have to be stored in a compartment as it just folds up against the RV. The U.S. company also came out with a remote-control model that has a curved railing to hold on to. The Burr Handy Lift is usually sold to customers with travel trailers but it can be adapted to a Class A motorhome with steps (you can see a video on KZbin if you type in Burr Handy Lift. I bought one for my Class A motorhome! I plan to build a small wooden platform and have the lift installed by a local company that converts vans into handicap vans.
