Agree my hope for the region is that they break their colonial chain ⛓ and along with the Spanish speaking countries in the Caribbean come together as a trading union, much the same as the European Union. Together as a trading Union they would have a powerful financial voice, and a much needed boost in their individual wealth, health, education, overall infrastructure structure. That region of the world has so much to offer but has been left under developed and ignorantly relying on the tourist trade and small local shops to keep stagnant economies just above water. The Caribbean is capable of much more. A united vision and forward thinking would make a huge difference and bring a wealth of opportunities to the the region - if they would just think big.

She spoke about the destruction of the corral reefs. Barbados being a vacation destination needs to stop the use of sun screening just like Hawaii has done. The same problem was in Hawaii. The chemicals are covering the corral reefs from receiving sun light causing them to be destroyed. Very sad.

@@africanalways8253 At the very least, she should influence other visionaries to step up. If there are people who are better, that's a good thing. Drop their names, help them to mount a challenge. But, beware of moles pretending to be for the stuff she talks about, then, doing the exact opposite. Corporate funded politicians are great at fooling the masses to continue their destructive policies. In fact, all the politicians in the West praising her only want to ride her message while doing nothing. It's the same pimp game that has been played for decades and we let them do it.

Billionaires aren't going to save us. This system needs to change drastically. Obviously, you see what they do with their money, a goofy couple of minutes to barely space, which we accomplished in the 60s. It adds no value to space exploration, only vanity. Screw the symbolic nonsense because gullible people want to ignore how these actors are destroying the planet. I'm glad China didn't participate. China is testing a thorium reactor right now and has invested more in solar than the US. They will surpass us in green tech as we continue to fund more coal, natural gas and oil.

@@robertnicholls9917 I read many anti-China comments as if China has done so much negative to the world by invasions, wars, and forcibly changing and installing puppet governments across the globe to benefit Chinese companies. I hope Caribbean people wake up and figure out what has happened, what is happening, and what role they play. Thank you for being a thinking person.

Don't fall for this new Cold War propaganda by the US. That's why I wrote about Amanpour being an ally to US hegemony upthread. She's a propagandist for US anti-human interests. The Caribbean should definitely partner with China but control the terms. It's the US and the West that have been abusing much of the Caribbean for decades. Look at how they're wasting Puerto Rico away, a US territory. If the US doesn't care about people under their jurisdiction, what makes you think they have anything of benefit to offer the Caribbean? From Cuba, Haiti, Jamaica, Grenada, Panama (considered part of the diaspora), Dominican Republic, etc., it's been the West that has caused a lot of harm. Now, you fall for the China disparagement when the Caribbean has always had great relationships with Chinese people for decades. The Caribbean is full of Chinese people who have raised generations of family there. Do not follow the West down this road. Aren't you tired of the same script at this point?

@@3RdEyeQueen because I said that having all the seats means I support another party lol? I am non partisan and support the p.m very much, on this tread defending her actually, but having a one party state is never healthy for a democracy and that's my point. Any government who has an absolute majority I would say that about as well and most non partisan people think the same way. Hence why I said you were a BLP supporter, that being said, if you said you are non partisan as well I will take you word for it and retract my, statement about where your loyalties are. We have to support the p.m. now in these difficult times.
