Great vedio! I really like how you touched on reliability. I am a mercedes fan! I had a 2011 bmw 7 series 4.4 twin turbo with 60k miles on it, and that thing was breaking down even when parked in the garage and maintained well. My question is about this E63 engine 5.5. Is it really reliable if you take a good care of it? Or is that saying "more HP more problems" is right? How does it compare to the normal 3.5 E350 when it comes to reliability? Thanks

Love this review and that’s a $15k carbon edition on this car. It is tough to find one for $50-60k. Where I live in Canada they go for around $70-80k still. I love the body style and exhaust notes. Purely a beast bruiser. Would love to see more vids on this sick ride.

@@pmutah I think I watched all videos on w212 E63 S amg before committing to getting one. I have to brag about mine possibly being the cheapest one at the moment at $34k although with 95k miles. I'm not scared by it though, I have two more high mileage AMGs. These cars are bulletproof. So far I only need to replace squeaky bushings in the E63. Cheers!

@@Dakintosh it's been holding up good with now 118k miles. I didn't have to do anything major other than a lot of maintenance items (all fluids and oils, brake pads, tires, filters, battery, bushings, etc) the only unexpected repairs I had was water pump which for some reason got out of alignment with rest pulleys and belt and rear fusebox unit. Two issues I currently have is the pre-safe and lane keep assist keeps going in and out and the sunroof keeps making popping sounds (the bolts need to be tightened... $500 estimate from my mechanic lol). Other then that I would avoid models with B&O sound systems, it eats up way too much space, and the panoramic sunroof... The rear part is making the popping noise on bumps and uneven roadway. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Great review! That about the transmission can be fixed with a good remap. Good remap, straight pipe and youve got a 700 ps E63s. Also the gearshifts will be much faster.

Good video, i have a questions i looking for the mercedes benz e63 amg 2014 with the v8 5.5, that car have some problems with the transmision or something? Do you know is so expensive for make the maintenance (service, insurance, etc) probably i use the car every days maybe 40 miles per day, and i see with stage 2 the car can have 800hp, so can i have problems with the engine or something if i make stage 2? Scusme for all the cuestions, At first I was looking for the infiniti q60 red sport, but then I saw the mercedes, the interior is more outdated but the performance is much higher, and if they cost more or less the same to maintain, I would go for the mercedes

I have 2015 e63s with s2 mod. For 50k till 100k until now, np at all! Blow thy worry into the air. Yet, preventive trivial maintenance such as oil change and spark plug care etc is essential. Get hakuna-matata in m157, if you know what I mean! Enjoy the ride!

Great review! I have driven the last 3 generations of AMG V8s, V8 Kompressor, 6.2L and own a 5.5TT. I completely agree that the 6.2L isn't an impressive engine. And it also left a lot to be desired for the bigger cars. That's why it was replaced in everything except the C63 and SLS. Still have my M113k (V8 Kompressor) and love my M157 (5.5TT) I just wish this engine breathed better up top. A turbo upgrade helps but then,.. you're talking $8k+ and shortening the transmission life, transmission rebuilds are fine too. But at that point, $12-15k has me wondering why do this to a daily? lol Solid review though

Full disclosure this is a customer's car not my car but I have had several and they're really good on Maintenance and Service. gas mileage not so much probably 15 miles to the gallon😎👍

Mark Saad you know I'm not sure I didn't personally do any mods but I bought it from somebody else. I think it might have the midpipe in the exhaust modified. Because it does seem more throaty than usual👍

Awesome! I did a resonator delete on my 2013 CLS63 and man what a difference. Highly recommend.. sounds deeper and it pops really loud on the revs and shifts!

Hey man, just wondering... I am looking to buy myself a W212 amg, like this one. At 8:53 you said «You get the performance exhaust on your AMG you leave it alone» What do you actually mean by that? Is «Performance exhaust» something you have to by afterwards like AEM or do you straight forward mean the original exhaust? Kinda confused..

I have Michelin A/S3+s on mine and it does fine in light to medium snow. However if you give it too much gas the back will spin out in snow so,.. it's closer to an A-B car in the snow. Fun as hell for snow drifts though
