"Pochettino is the third permanent manager to leave the club under the Clearlake Capital-Todd Boehly ownership, but this time it was mutual. There was no sacking and no arguments or rancour, just handshakes and an agreement to move on respectfully. A dinner with co-controlling owner Boehly last Friday night proved to be a last supper for Pochettino, but underlined the goodwill that remained underneath any disagreements or dissatisfaction." - [Latest Matt Law Update]

Just madness. These owners are crazier than Roman. Roman sacked managers when things were going backwards. Pochettino was handed a train wreck, had most of the experienced players sold and was told to work with a bunch of injury prone and total inexperienced kids. He moulded them into a decent team, despite the injuries, took them from 12th to 6th, added 19 points and 39 goals to their total and took them to a cup final. Unless Pep is begging Boehly to rescue him from Man City or Klopp secretly wants the Chelsea job this is utter madness. You certainly don’t sack Pochettino to replace him with Kieran McKenna. Have they learned nothing from the disastrous sacking of Tuchel and replacing him with Potter the PE teacher? Plus Pochettino has been managing in the PL for 12 years. He never had these injury issues at Spurs so it ain’t Poch’s training. The club signed injury prone players.

Gusto, Colwill, Caicedo, Enzo, Palmer, Nkunku are all top technicians who would be maximised with a patient possession style that exploits central areas. Pochettino’s high pressing & more vertical style of football has never emphasised that which is why he struggled for most of the season. The number one rule of recruiting a manager is to recruit one who suits the profile of your squad. And this is where Chelsea’s hierarchy failed."

This is just insane! These guys pull the chair out, every time there’s some sort of a stability. And it most probably means that Gallagher will now be sold

Poch isn't a coach Chelsea wants, winning few late games isn't good enough. We need a coach

never mind what most of you watch on match of the day we’ve fluked a lot of our recent results, we’ve been shite for the majority of the season, i’m glad he’s gone.

My biggest issue( I always thought Poch wasn't really it), is that i don't see how this sets any good precedent for the players. A manager goes because he didn't want to sell key players like Gallagher and Chalobah. How does Palmer or any or Enzo or our multitude of young signings gain any hope of this? If im Palmer im leaving this ship as soon as possible ffs.
@Yellownimbus24 күн бұрын
This really makes no sense. Buys young players, brings in Poch to develop young players. Sacks Poch "mutual consent" for a younger coach????? If they don't bring in Fabregas then the Americans have destroyed the club once again.

Eghbali's Clearlake is destroying Chelsea. Boehly will take the stick for this although he appears to be a figurehead

You should be aware by now that Boehly is not making these decisions

Embarassing from the board unless they´re bringing TT back with key Bayern assets. There will for sure be a big summer clearout and then we start from scratch next season. Here we go again !

This is crazy, if thus causes a rift between our players and club its over for us.
