In this video Mama Goose & I head out to the Mojave National Preserve to tackle the Mojave Trail with 2 of our daughters in tow. What an adventure we had tackling almost the entire length of the trail.
Lots of incredible meals cooked & the weather was great. We look forward to coming back out here one day soon & exploring so much of this area we didn't even touch.
I hope everyone enjoys this video & are all healthy & safe!!!

Just for kicks, I've played the "breakfast scramble" scene in slow motion a couple of times. WOW! It's truly a lesson learned. Especially, just after suggesting to your daughter a few moments before not to put her leash around the leg of the table.

We were in Anza over Thanksgiving weekend and used a diesel heater for the first time, it's def a game changer!! no more condensation, you can leave it on all night and not have to worry about CO or any other dangerous gases. Another great video! Love watching these! Annnnd, thank God Sierra was OK!!

Do you have info you can share on the diesel heater?
@395jnky
@395jnky 3 жыл бұрын
I've been eyeballing the diesel heater as I think it would be great, if there is a way to Tee the venting to the tent and inside the Jeep for Sierra. I'm just concerned about the extra room it would require to haul around. Can you tell us the model you have, so I can look into it more? Thanks for watching and I thought the same thing about Sierra...it could have been real bad if she pulled the skottle edge right on her head or even body for that matter. Take care 510_JK
@510_jk5
@510_jk5 3 жыл бұрын
@@395jnky oh man, so sorry about the late reply. The legit diesel heater brands are Webasco, Planar and Eberspacher. But i went with a chinese brand from amazon. There's three sizes, each producing more heat (3, 5 and 8kw). I went with the 5kw which is overkill for a RTT but figured it's be worth it if i ever want to heat my tent and an awning room. I leave my heater outside and then run a duct to the tent. they do sell a tee that you can use to vent off two areas. they also sell a version with four ports, but i opted for one port and then i purchased the tee separately. Everything works amazing. i'll reply with a few links to the heater, the duct and the tee. Good luck, happy trails and HAPPY NEW YEAR's!
@510_jk5
@510_jk5 3 жыл бұрын
@@OpenRoad4Two see the links below. hopefully it works out for you. the one port is roughly 3" diameter. but i found you have to look for all attachments (if you need any) in 75mm. good luck and apologies for the late reply!

You should get a shift pod mini tent 4 your family. I was gonna get an ikamper but I love the shift pod too much. Keeps temp better and it stays dark inside. The light from outside doesn’t wake me up in the morning haha.

One day I plan on getting either a Shiftpod or Gazelle Tent. My goal is to run the Rubicon next year without the RTT on top...Should help a ton and I can store either of those tents on the RoofRack weighing much less than the RTT.

Lessons and what not to do: 1, Don’t try to heat your Air mattress with a gas heater? 2, Don’t hook the dogs leash to the leg of the cook stove? Question: what did you do with all that Rock salt after cooking with it? Last thing how do you Travel with 3 Women? My sanity is travailing alone? I have 4 daughters 3 Sons and a wife who’s idea of camping is sitting in a lawn chair in the back yard watching the grandkids play in the sand box. I fly a lot for the cajun Air Force so my RV is in the sky. My last trip was from Baton Rouge to Puerto Rico with a Thousand pounds of hand sanitizer. After Christmas I am meeting up with friends for some R & R in the very southern end of the Exuma islands in the Bahamas. My RV can Cruise at 175 mph at 18,000 for 30 hours. Hope you didn't blame Sierra for human error. Naturally a Dogs first instinct is to run, when caught on something. Then she thought the skottle was chasing her. Then she heard humans yelling and running toward her. You have to think of domesticated dogs as if they were a child. They don't understand how some items like Tripods and Tables are easily tipped over.

Most of the times we leave it out. I'm a pretty light sleeper if there were ever any undesirables or animals that decide to show up in the middle of the night. However, if I'm expecting rain or snow, I'll usually pack it in the Jeep so I'm not dealing with wet items in the AM.
