Believe it or not, I started writing an entire EP while using this thing. It took me all of two hours to learn how to use it. I recorded samples via my phone, and recorded them into my PO-33 for editing. Honestly, this device is an absolute joy to use just for the heck of using it. Definitely will be using my PO-33 more often nowadays. Loved this video, for sure. It gave me another glimpse into how others make music using the PO-33, and I was definitely digging it.

Learned a ton from this video, thanks! Have a PO-20 and a PO-32, but the 33 is a totally new beast. I was in NYC for the day and couldn't resist stopping myself from stopping at the MoMa store and of course they had a single PO-33 left on the shelf, I couldn't leave without grabbing it. Sampled a really great conductor announcement on my train ride home and trimmed it up a bit, but wish this video was out (and I wish I made a backup of that sample) - it makes a lot more sense of what I could have pulled off. Keep them coming, great sounds!

Trouble was I sampled almost the entire 40 seconds available into a single bank in just one long kit that I sliced up, so sounds were getting choked out and I was flying mostly blind just from what I knew from working with the other PO's. But anyway, I've used this video as a PO-33 intro when I let people play with it, you eliminate a lot of the confusion and light bulbs continually go off in people's heads as you explain how best to leverage this thing (and you end up with a pretty sick track). Thanks again and keep the videos coming! I'm hoping to be at the OP-Z launch at MoMa with any luck...

Great explanation of how the thing actually works. I've seen video's made by other channels about it including the official ones and I had nó idea how it actually worked. That's why I ended up buying something else. I did kind of assume that it would turn it in to 16 equal length bits by default, because that seemed to me like the most logical way of making old school hip-hop. But I was never quite sure. Anyways, great video, super clear, super helpful, TE should promote this video via social media, because you know how to sell their product a hell of a lot better then they do. (I think they leave it unclear on purpose though. They don't want to draw attention to the (quite reasonable) limitations and they probably hope people assume it works for them...)
