No, there is a space on both sides. If you will notice the spine piece is larger than the hinge piece, therefore, you will need to center your hinge piece from left to right and top to bottom.

Thank you so much for doing this video. Can't wait to try it out. I made two of your paper bag minis and they turned out fantastic! Sadly, I have got a few other projects in the works before I can start. Great motivation to get them done. Thanks again!!!

Thanks Mary! I do like teaching. This is my favorite mini album style because it is so versatile. You can add lots of interactive elements to it or just keep it plain and simple. I appreciate your sweet comments!!! Hugs, Ginger

Oh my goodness! I was scoring, folding, and getting ready to make the binding and almost had a complete breakdown. It just did not look right and I was so upset. Finally, realized that I needed to turn it over. LOL! Thank you so much! This is the second time that I have tried to make this binding and the first time that I have ever got it right!

A questions for you: Do your first and last hinges rest right at the fold of the cover or is there a space? Love your tutorials!

Ginger, I tried my pages on the hinge to check the fit, and they are very tight. Could I cut a triangular sliver off the edge of each hinge before I attach the hinge to the covers?

Hi ginger I need help 😵. I followed a tutorial on a small mini album you did and I some how made it smaller ...the album itself measures 3 3/4 by 4 1/2 inches and my hinge is 4 1/4 in length and I have 5 hinges for 5pages what size do I measure the pages?? I'm trying to do a pocket style like you do in this album just a smaller version. I thought I had all the measures right but no hahaha can you help me. Sorry to be a hassle I should have stuck to doing the same size in the tutorial 😭😭

If your height of your hinge is 4-1/4 then you want your page slightly taller than that. But I see your covers are 4-1/2 high. So here's what I would do. I would cut my cardstock for my page to be 3-1/4 x 9. Score on the 9 inch side at 4-1/4 and 8-1/2. This will create a pocket page that is 3-1/4 x 4-1/4. What you will need to do is angle the corners of your hinges to get them to fit the opening of your pocket pages. Hope this helps!
