One thing that I do has a teacher to make sure everything gets done is: 1. Grade everything the day it’s assigned (so if I have given 3 graded assignments before art class, then I will grade those 3 things during that planning time that I have) 2. Only limit myself to 4 tasks to take home with me. (Example: I will take home 2 two graded stacks of papers to put in the grade book. Also, I will take home 2 other tasks that I need to get done. Like setting up the binders that you did in this vlog.) 3. When I get to school in the morning I will have a pre-made to-do list from the day before to complete. All these tips just make my teaching life a whole lot easier...

I think it is so cool when teachers decorate their classrooms - it adds a festive air and makes students want to go to school because they will feel more comfortable in a brightly colored enviroment.

Just a tip for putting the binder spine in, you can also turn the binder inside out, like pull the sides around, so the plastic part of the spine is inside, and it’s so easy to slide the spine in. On older binders, where the spine plastic is a little more loose, you can sometimes just put the end of the spine label in and let go and in just falls into place.

As a fellow teacher who gets migraines- I FEEL YOU! I did a migraine study at Johns Hopkins and learned that the feeling of being out of it and overwhelmed is actually a symptom of my migraines. The study focused on using mindfulness mediation to help prevent stress induced migraines, and when I could remember to do it, it definitely helped. However, the ONE THING I can actually remember to do and it has helped me when teaching, is taking a three breath brakes (where you close your eyes, take three breaths, and check in how you are feeling). This has helped me realize when a migraine was coming on (even pre-aura), when normally I would have ignored it, and I could take my prescription or motrin migraine (which works- but only if you catch it at the very, very beginning).

I can relate to your migraines! I don't get migraines but I have horrible acid reflux (its atypical so it doesn't follow a pattern as to what I eat), and I had it twice this week which is much more than usual. When I get the severe pain in my chest area I can't even move or talk it hurts so bad. Severe pain just really sucks

I have had chronic migraines since middle school, I'm in 11th grade now. Last week I had a constant migraine for the entire week. Advil, Tylenol, and prescription medication did not do anything. I eventually had to start getting shots.

I get migraines too! Drink tons and tons of water. They are usually a sign you are dehydrated! Also, have you tried peppermint essential oils? I put it above my eyes, on my temples, etc.. when I have a migraine! Thinking of my formal obs watching yours and I don't have a date yet! Love the blanket wrap... super cute! Keep smiling and stay positive because you are awesome!

My brother and dad would get migraines too and it definitely helped when they drank a lot of water and ate well.:)

I was going to suggest essential oil too! Peppermint or a Stress Away roller would be a recommendation from me. Young Living has these both. Best of luck to you! 😌

Michelle your migraines have a lot to do with your diet. I had the same problem until I started eating more nutritious foods (green juice). You have a lot caffeine and sugar in your diet which could be triggers. The day after you had your second migraine you were hungry which you mentioned is rare for you, your body was asking for nutrition. Next time don’t have a surgery caffeine drink along with a sugar covered pastry. I’m only taking the time to share this because I know how much migraines suck and I feel for you. Take care.

Saeny Actually, no. You are incorrect. My migraines are not triggered by food. That may be true for someone people but unless you are my personal doctor who I have visited for several years you can’t tell me what causes my migraines. I have been to various doctors for several years and have tried numerous elimination diets. None of these helped my migraines. My migraines are genetic and hormonally triggered.

Pocketful of Primary Oh I’m sorry to hear that, for me it was a factor. I still think adding chlorophyll from green veggies can help lessen the pain but if it’s hormonal and genetic, I understand.

I've been watching your videos for a few weeks now & I love them! Seeing POV from a teacher is so interesting!.... On another note: from one girlfriend to another, girl get your butt to the salon - just once - & have them do your brows for ya, then after that you'll have a guide & be able to shape them yourself... Not picking on you AT ALL, we alllll have had those brow phases! Lol it's one of those things where, if someone has lipstick on their teeth or something on their face, you gotta be that girlfriend & let em know what's up !!! :)

Kayla Riggs She’s mentioned in the past that she’s fairly new to doing her makeup. She used to get comments about her brows all the time & she doesn’t see trying to go out and get them “fixed” as a priority.

Hey! Just an idea if you have easy things to do in the classroom you can have a good student come in and help! In 4th grade my teacher let me come in early and help her AND I LOVED IT! Idk if your school has something for students that get to school early but you could pull a student from there (if They want) and have them come to your classroom!
