Two hours or so to charge the Pixel 6 Pro against the 30 minutes to charge the OnePlus 10 Pro deserves mentioning.

I haven't used the OP 10 Pro but I have the Pixel 6 Pro and have been very happy with it. I came from an iPhone X and I still use an iPhone 12 for my work phone. This is the first Android phone I have had since the Note 4 and I am pleased in all of the upgrades. iOS still seems to be a bit more polished but I was getting bored with it so I thought I would switch. I like the output from the Pixel 6 camera and if I take a bad shot it is due to my skills and not the camera. Nice comparison and it is good to see that phones are remaining competitive because we all win

Am I crazy for thinking that the 1+ is a better pick? Better battery life, fast charging, brighter display, face unlock, a faster fingerprint sensor, and only slightly worse cameras as a trade-off? Seems like people hate on OnePlus just to hate on it but this 10pro looks solid to me.

I agree, at least for me. Some features are more important than others for different people. For me a phone has to have a superior unlock feature with no loss on security. My last OnePlus was the 5T which was a great phone. I've been with Pixel since the 2XL and now have the standard P6. I think it's the best Android phone I've ever used. Tried the P6 Pro, but I can't stand curved screens. I'm looking forward to seeing what the 7/7 Pro has to offer. If they have face ID or a better on-screen scanner I'll probably upgrade. Otherwise, I'm fine sticking with my P6 for another year.

I tried a pixel 6 pro and sent it back. 1. I missed the slider selector 2. Pixel would not let me customize the accent color of ANYTHING on the phone and instead used an awful pastel color. I just want straight up BLUE, not faded pastel blue.. there were other things too.. pixel 6 pro only allows 4 items on the drop down menu and you have to swipe twice to get the settings gear to show up.. then throw on the fact that the 10 pro has a better screen and I sent that pixel 6 pro back right away. I ended up with a One plus 9 pro open box for 400 bucks... which still beats the pants of the pixel 6 pro

I particularly liked your comment. I have the Pixel 3a xl... I've had to do warranty exchange like 5-6x. Pictures are fantastic. Even better than the iPhone 13.. The newest one. Night pictures are terrific. I can see the sky clearly. I like clouds, shape, objects. I just proved it last winter. My friend took pics of her car accident at midnight. I took some later. Same night. Mine were much better. Plus it was black vehicle. You could easily see the difference. I like the 10+pro but I've seen pictures people took with the pixel 6 pro... You can easily see the difference. I must say.. I've gotten more updates than anybody I know too. I love the camera on my pixel. Although the 3a xl always had had screen issues with texting. Like example, after you hit a..... It doesn't automatically space. Or letter m, either. If I literally pick each letter individually...I get all kinds of miss mash letters, spaces and caps too. At times my 3a xl screen is unresponsive. I also really hate having to order the screen protector glass from T-Mobile and then have to go in and wait in line just to get my screen protector on. Needlessly complicated. I think these phones are over priced these days. Especially when your nice new phone freezes...I read a lot of customer reviews. I'm keeping my 4a xl. Just got the camera. Unfortunately, they don't make these phones good enough to last a lot longer than three years. I had my first replacement at 2 weeks after I had just gotten my new Pixel 3a xl. That is disheartening and actually pissed me off. Thanks for your in depth review.

Not really ... Samsung is leading BUT they are also regressing. Samsung is great in creating something and be a leader only to spoil it later on. - Samsung used to be the camera king many years ago, it took them several years to regain that title with the 21U and now with the 22U - The 22U has worse batterylife than a year before ! Regression - The 22U speakers are far worse than a year ago and even the Note 20 sounds better ! Regression - Samsung went from 45W charging to 25W only to go back to 45W. in 2022 that's considered slow when 65W is the average for real fast charging. So it's a mixed bag. They come up with great stuff but the go backwards in some fields. Especially batterylife is a major drawback as that's more and more a priority for a phone as we do everything on it. But truth be told, so far every thing has been a mixed bag this year. Kinda boring, especially the chinese phones have not come up with something special. So in the end the 22U is the best in the Android field BUT Apple has managed to lock in so many categories these past years: - batterylife is no comparison with the 13PM - Camera video still the best and at the release of the 22U the iphone was 6 months old\ - Soc is really fast and far more optimized - Speakers seem to remain the best apart from dedicated gaming phones - Iphones always have the most storage options at launch. With Androids it's always a case of Region. You live in that region ?? You can't get that color, you can't get the 512 GB version, you get different specs ...

I own both of these. I have to say it’s the pixel that keeps coming out on top. It’s not actually quite as smooth as the one plus. If Google scores 8.5 out of 10 for smoothness then the Oneplus scores 9 with the s22 ultra exynos scoring 3!!! Anyway everything else on the pixel in my opinion is just slightly better.

I'd recommend not getting it. I had it and not only is it so buggy and almost unusable. Mine got super hot, the screen flickers often, turns black randomly, and my fingerprint reader just went out randomly. Not to mention the structural stability is one of the worst in the phone market. OnePlus 10 Pro Wins and this is coming from a Pixel 6 Pro user. Things I'm unhappy with with the Pixel 6 Pro. No face unlock, terrible finger print scanner that to this day still doesn't always register, and takes too long to open the phone. Screen brightness is not bright enough in outdoor sunny weather, battery life is sub par and I'm having to charge it more often than on my previous OnePlus 9 Pro, also the charging speed isn't anywhere near as good as OnePlus. Pixel interface in my opinion isn't as good as oxygen os and is missing the customisation that OnePlus has. honestly I'd be more than willing to make the trade off with the video performance which 90% of users aren't going to notice for the amount of gains your going to get with OnePlus.

Got my 10 Pro on its first week of release for only $299. My provider was running a special if I turned my 7T in. I must say, it’s EASILY the best phone I’ve had and I’ve had everything from Nextels, to HTC’s, to Galaxies, etc. It’s blazing fast, the pics are incredible, and the charging is second to none. I also have a Warp charger for the car, so now I NEVER sweat a low batter. 15-20 mins on the charger and I’m good. Unfortunately, I work outdoors. In Dallas. It’s been an extreme heat wave already….105-108 everyday the past few weeks. So, it’s taking some abuse battery wise, but still holding up amazingly. If I stream KZbin during my shift, I’ll make it about 6 hours before I need to charge. If I just listen to audio books, I make it through no problem and arrive home at around 40-50% remaining. AGAIN, this is operating in extreme heat outdoors. When I’m indoors, I’m definitely good for the whole day with frequent use.

Very nice comparison of two equivalent phones. You can't compare them with the best, nice selection, Jaime. Also, your reviews are great, useful and objective. OP lost its appeal since many years ago and they don't decide who to copy its design on each iteration. And being already too expensive for what OP was, you better buy a better phone for a slight difference.

Jaime, one thing worth noting is the overheating issues on the P6P. After owning multiple P6Ps since launch and being unable to record video or video chat longer than 15-20 minutes before overheating, I'd say that your verdict of the Pixel being a better device for video/social media purposes might no longer be accurate. After months and months of updates, Google still can't address issues that have been around since day one. I think that I'm switching to the OP10P seeing that the OP11 does not have wireless charging.

Personally I'll never buy a OnePlus phone again. But that's just my personal opinion.

This is not their flagship. One+ has ditched the One+10 and made the One+Pro the new middle ground, same price as the S22 in UK, so that they can release the One+10 Ultra Q3 which will be their new flagship. So there is no settling here, they are just adjusting their lineup as the market changes. For £800 in the UK, £200 less on eBay, it is a very reasonably priced phone and a worthy choice in the S22 price sector.
