Pocono Mountains Towns and Villages - Delaware Water Gap

The Delaware Water Gap was one of the most popular tourist destinations in the early 1900s with visitors like Frank Sinatra and President Roosevelt among the many prominent people summering in the Delaware Water Gap. Today the community is the only town in Pennsylvania for offer full Appalachian Trail thru hiker support and has a hiker hostel right in town. Every fall on the weekend after Labor Day, the Celebration of the Arts hosts a world renown Jazz Festival. A trip through the scenic Delaware Water Gap National Park and hikes along the many trails provide great outdoor activities and the wide variety of restaurants have something for everyone. Thank you, we enjoy the Delaware Water Gap and during the summer, we stop by almost every weekend to either grab a lobster roll, listen to some Jazz, walk around town, take a short hike up the Appalachian trail, or pick up some freshly brewed Saki! Lots to do in the Gap!

What a nice tribute to this charming town! I just hiked through the gap last week. The views from Mt Tamany and Mt minsi are spectacular. Cant wait to go back.

I have not, but it is on my bucket list. I went to a Jazz concert in Montreal for the first time and Im hooked. Definitely going to check out the Jazz at Delaware Water Gap. So looking forward to it!!!!!!!

Nice take on town & area of Water Gap. I live nearby in Easton Pa & have been to the Del. Water Gap NRA innumerable times on both sides of the Delaware River with the waterfalls on the Pa side & hikes along Old Mine Rd in NJ particular favorites. Crater lake is also a go-to destination. A hot dog & a slice of pie at the pie store is a tradition after a good hike. Thanks for Dutoitville history. (Did I spell that right?)
