Your bedspread is absolutely stunning!!! I have been watching it come to fruition from the time you showed a picture in the magazine until you were trying to duplicate it, to the yarn choice. Now complete, it is the most beautiful thing & looks so old world. When I realised that you have a pattern for it I was devastated as I can’t follow crochet patterns or graphs & was hoping that you might do a tutorial on one of the squares. Is there any chance of this in the future? Although you said it was an easy pattern, it looks very difficult to me, but as I’m a visual learner,there is a chance that I would try it if I could follow you on a tutorial, however even if I had the pattern, it would be of no use to me. I do hope you may think about doing a tutorial on this in the future as I would just love to give it a go. ❤️. Absolutely beautifully made blanket Cherry ! Gorgeous 🤗😘 My mother’s grandmother made her a blanket with silk fine yarn it was In sapphire blue and white I remember it was very heavy and draped beautifully, unfortunately it was stolen from a packing box when they moved home! We are sure it was the woman next door as she was always asking my mother to see it! Gutted!😢

Thank you for sharing your projects. This one hit home. My grandmother was incredibly talented with crochet. She did not read patterns, but could replicate something from studying the item. She made 3 bedspreads for each of her children. I have inherited 2, as well as some extra squares. I would love to create as a throw blanket, but unfortunately the thread she used is no longer manufactured & I would need a written pattern. I admire your talent to replicate the blanket! Take care!

My grandma did gorgeous filet crochet that looks similar although made with much smaller cotton yarn. She did some awesome curtains you put on the window and throws and tablecloth with it. Very pretty but I never had the patience for it. It is a lot of tiny squares and lot of counting.
