Trong tập này, mình sẽ chia sẻ lại những sự khác biệt của Việt Nam so với Mỹ qua góc nhìn của một người mới qua Việt Nam sống. Đây là chỉ là những suy nghĩ giản đơn trong đầu mình mà mình muốn kể cho mọi người. Các câu chuyện vẫn sẽ được kể một cách chậm rãi bằng tiếng Anh để mọi người dễ dàng nghe theo. ủng hộ gia đình anh chị ra nhiều video hơn nè. chị nói nhẹ nhàng, chậm rãi, dễ nghe. chúc kênh phát triển, chúc chị và gia đình sức khỏe. Lời nhắc nhủ đến chị : Vn là quốc gia đang phát triển và thay đổi nhanh chóng, những gì k tốt đẹp sẽ bị xã hội đào thải. Như chuyện giao thông vn hỗn loạn nhưng so với cách đây 5-10 thì mọi thứ cũng đỡ hơn nhiều. Hay chuyện ăn thịt chó mình cũng thấy xã hội ngày càng nhận thức tốt hơn và việc ăn thịt chó cũng giảm, nhà nước cũng có 1 số nơi đã bắt đầu cấm thịt chó, hi vọng tương lai sẽ không còn.

get the job in Nha Trang city or Da Nang city...then you won't see that kind of things that make you more stress....these 2 cities...will make your life less stress and enjoyable...because you literally walk to beach 5 min from your home, apartment...and everyone there are very polite...and most of them speak English...

It’s extremely hard to adjust for people coming from a first world country to Vietnam. First of all the policy is “Vietnam first”, and there’s no permanent Visa and no integration efforts by the government whatsoever. Looking at what is happening in Europe right now I can totally understand this policy, and find it maybe even more reasonable, but nevertheless it’s hard for us forever-foreigners. Next, Vietnam’s infrastructure is rudimentary at best. There’s dirt, trash and construction rubble everywhere, burning trash, barking dogs 24/7, honking trucks and vehicles 24/7, the list goes on. In the beginning it might look exciting, but after some years the complete and entire lack of beautiful nature and the ever-present dirt, garbage, stink, noise, rude behaviour (for example men pissing everywhere) and broken infrastructure takes a toll on the well-being. Furthermore, while the Vietnamese writing system is much further developed than for example Korean, Japanese or Chinese, it still is a mess. The writing is syllable based instead of denoting words. This alone makes learning to read so much harder than learning a Western language like French or Italian. Reading is the basis of second language acquisition and higher education. Furthermore, censorship is still going insanely strong, with the last big book burning event and purging of libraries being merely 22 years ago, in 2002 (think book burning like in Nazi Germany.) And finding interesting books in Vietnamese is difficult. Furthermore less than 10% of the population reads, their main source of adult education is Tik Tok and Facebook. So you’re basically surrounded by mostly nice, well-meaning people, who have mostly ZERO knowledge of the higher arts, psychology, and other important fields of humanism. Most Vietnamese people wouldn’t even be able to name one or two notable writers or painters, apart from the few selected the Vn gov is allowing to be advertised everywhere. It is a really challenging country to live in, but as you said it also has big upsides and it’s splendid moments, and hope is always just around the next corner.

Yes, I think we all can agree that Vietnam still has a lot to develop. But my perspective is different than yours. I see how far Vietnam has come and that I can have an active role in its future. You see, I lived in another Asian country that got it independence at a similar time as Vietnam, but it was much less developed than Vietnam. My husband and in-laws have told me many stories about how Vietnam has progressed so much, even in the last 10 years… and I see it too. My children will be Vietnamese, and it is so important to my husband and I that we raise them to benefit society. I choose to focus on these things. My channel will focus on these things. And I hope you will have this perspective too.
