My cousin and I were playing with a Ouija board when I was around 12 or 13. We used to mess with it all the time. It predicted that her Aunt would have a miscarriage and mentioned the word train tracks. Had no idea what that meant. Her Aunt was not even pregnant at the time. Six months later she was waiting in her car as a train was going through and started having a miscarriage. We played it all the time. Some days it would be mild mannered and other days it would just spell the words kill, hate, murder and call us every cuss word in the book. Toward the end of us playing it (and this why we stopped), we were on the top bunk and it started getting angry and calling us names. We were both sitting with our legs crossed, facing each other with the board touching our knees; suddenly this board just whipped through the air like frisbee and crashed into her dresser mirror, shattering it. Scariest thing that's ever happened. We were stunned. There was no way either of us could have made it do that. Both of our hands were placed on the planchette very lightly. After we got ourselves together, we dismantled the planchette and put it in the garbage and took the board itself into the woods and buried it. We heard that you shouldn't burn one. I was young and dumb but this shit is real af. Don't fuck with it.

Evyn Alexander after I finished watching the podcast I was so spooked about zozo. I did not feel safe in my own home that I had to burn incense. My belief may be way out there but sometimes if the presence of a spirit is strong enough and if you think about it or watch stuff about it or read about it, it will find a way to get to you and I ‘like’ to read about these kinds of things they’re interesting but I am always so scared that I have to burn incense like juniper. But that’s just me 🤷🏼‍♀️

You know what I would do in case of an EMP? Get seeds, plants, lanterns, and blankets. make room for a wood fire outside of my house. I live two houses over from a river and you can sanitize your own water. Create a food source in the garden, plant certain things that can be regrown with little effort and in most conditions. If everyone does that for themselves then we won't have to worry about running out of resources. Also exercise regularly (despite the lack of showers) so there's less chance of sickness. There are probably holes in this plan but fuck it, you gotta start somewhere.

I felt sick when you started talking about "Zozo" and said that it also goes by Mama. In high school my friends and I decided to be idiots and mess with a Ouija board. In the dark, candles, chanting and all. We did this a lot... every time we all got together. After a few times the board went wonky and started spelling "MAMA MAMA MAMA MAMA" repeatedly. It did that for the rest of our use. Things went full fuckery from there, my friend. "Possessions" if you want to believe in that. Seeing things. Anyway, my friends got really freaked out after an event I wasn't there for during which a knife got drawn by a "possessed" friend. A few of them went to a pastor to get un-fuckeried and we never picked that shit up again. DON'T MESS WITH OUIJA BOARDS FOLKS. I don't even fully believe in the idea but this was the freakiest experience I've had to date. Again... I got teary-eyed and sick when y'all said "Mama," because that thing was vocal about "MAMA MAMA MAMA." Yikes. Okay goodnight never fam.

So a zozo story; when I was like 13 years old (about a decade ago), my friends and I played with a ouija board and got z and o repeatedly and nothing else, we thought nothing of it at the time because we had no idea who or what zozo is. One of the guys involved actually admitted to deliberately pushing it but he too had no knowledge of "zozo". Leads me to believe that ouija boards work subconsciously through the participants, i.e; they are actively pushing it but their choices about where the planchette moves to are persuaded by something else, perhaps without them even being aware.

I️ know this is old, however this is what i have been told (and personally believe) the board actually does. It’s just an outlet for said ghosts to effect and control the people participating in the game. It’s an interesting concept and is a widely believed! Hope this makes sense, Dink Dink ! ✌️

Damien John You know how apparently ghosts and shit are mainly attracted to kids, or even teens because they're more vulnerable? Well, I've used a Ouija Board about 3 times (at most) in the last few years, none of which did the planchette move. The last Ouija Board experience I had where the pointer did its magic was when I was in the eighth grade, which to me is really weird because why hadn't it worked any time after that? Yeah, maybe someone was moving it, but considering the people I did it with, they wouldn't fake that shit. Idk, Ouija Boards still remain strange to me.

In 2015 we had a huge wave of tornados in my area that left our area with out fresh water for a week (tornado damaged part of the water treatment plant) & without electricity for over two weeks. Living in the south we kind of live in a state of preparation for days long power outages (its a matter of "when" not "if" it happens. We keep battery operated lanterns, oil lanterns, candles, BOARD games & cards, and keep a stocked canned food pantry. Dry food is important because not only did the grocery store not have power to refrigerate foods BUT due to the extensive damage delivery trucks did not have a means to get TO the store. Now we always keep gallons of water on hand in addition to all our other efforts.

The property in quartz you are talking about it called piezoelectricity. If you put physical pressure on it (squeeze it) it creates a small electric field around the length of the crystal perpendicular to the applied force. ALSO it works the other way where you apply a voltage through a quartz crystal the atoms tense up as if a physical force was being applied to it. Because of this quartz was used a lot in early radios and circuits before that technology was super advanced like it is today.

I've had an experience with Zozo/Mama on my Ouija board over a year ago; I played it with my skeptical friend and we were very serious about contacting any spirits. We contacted something that knew my middle name, my age, and we asked what it wanted, it spelled out "Death". Then it kept going ZOZO MAMA over and over and over and over again, VERY fast. Then it kept going from 9-0 backwards over and over and over again. Later that night I was sleeping in my bed with my sceptical friend when i woke up to something pulling on my ankles trying to pull me out of my bed. A week later I woke up on my back having sleep paralysis for the first time and as soon as I gained the strength to sit up, a tall black figure came out of NOWHERE and LUNGED at me, literally screaming in my face. I was so terrified I refused to sleep in my room for 2 months and we hired a paranormal investigation team. They caught demonic voices on a recorder saying things like "I'll fucking kill you" so we started blessing and saging our house every day for months, we no longer have any problems in that house. I'm not sure if I'll ever play a Ouija board again

Network covalent solids, such as Quartz/SiO2, can be piezoelectric, in which electron drift alters the crystal lattice and with pressure you can get an electric field (this is why Quartz is used in frequency stabilization). So, there is some merit to the Quartz theory.

I have never really been able to tell this story! (in regards to zozo) When I was around 8 years old, my best friend and I were messing around with a oujia board, which in retrospect was a terrible idea, but we didn't know. And we were asking it weird questions like 'how will I die?' or things of that sort. And eventually my best friend asked what its name was and it said Zozo and we're like cool, hey! because obviously we had no idea. She had asked it something that I guess made it mad because the (I don't know what it's called) plastic piece went to all four corners of the board. So, we were terrified, but that didn't stop us. She had lit candles on either side of the board and after it had went to all corners of the board the candles blew out and we both screamed bloody murder. We had basically stopped except for like two more questions and the last one we got to ask was something super insignificant... but we heard cracks of thunder and we saw the lightening and we ran to find her mom. So we're crying and screaming and her mom is sitting on the back porch just outside....and we're like "what are you doing?! it's storming!!!" but it actually wasn't...we were the only two that heard or saw anything. And that's the story of the very last time I ever messed with spirits.

There's a long narrow lake in B.C where I live called the Okanagan lake. It is well known for sightings of "the ogopogo" a large prehistoric creature much like what would describe the Loch Ness monster. I don't know about the quartz thing, you'll have to look into that. Pretty interesting though.

Just Joshing There's another comment on here about a gold mine next to Osoyoos lake that also output a lot of quartz. Freaky! My dad used to scare the shit out of me and my sister when we went camping up there. I never went into the lake past my chest - I was scared the Ogopogo would get me!

Just Joshing I'm looking at the lake now. originally the " ogopogo" was created to attract tourists to the area. I believe " sightings" are crowd hysteria. How would it have lived all these years? how did it get there? how does it reproduce without a mate? ( and if it did, there would be little ogopogo's swimming around.) and on and on. most locals don't even think about it. I've swam in Penticton and at all points along the way to Vernon all my entire life. I've been on the water lots all summer and never seen anything. we have a panoramic view of the lake and look at it everyday. It's just a cash grab for the tourist industry.

In regards to what scale this EMP thing would need to happen on to take out a whole country, I think that if they knocked out the basic power grid that would be enough. You wouldn't necessarily have to brick every device. Vehicles may work for a while until we ran out of gas and ways to distribute it, cellphones would work for a while (couldn't charge them once they die or the towers would stop working), etc. Scary thought. You could protect your devices from the EMP but if your base electricity is fucked you're done eventually anyway.

I'm a complete rock and minerals nerd and Im going to school for Geology as well , so let me kind of help and put my two cents on the whole Lochness quartz theory. Yes, Julian you are right. There have been tests done regarding the magnetism of quartz. However, if you read some of these test results regarding the magnetism of quartz, they're very all over the place with no conclusive, solid, yes or no answer. And they might confuse you lol. Quartz itself is not ferromagnetic, meaning, its not magnetic at all like iron or nickel etc. Plus, the theory of quartz being magnetized with some kind of "gravity, force pulling, crazy energies to create wormhole things" might be highly unlikely. Still a very interesting theory though :) lol And this is by far one of my favorite podcasts so far. ❤ Love the dink fam ❤

My Zozo story: my friend and I were playing with a ouija board for the first time ever. It started out normal and we were getting random answers and nonsense for a while until a spirit came through that identified as my grandmother. I can't exactly remember when my friend and I realized we had reached my "grandmother" but when we did, I asked for the spirit to tell me her full name, which my friend had never known beforehand. It spelled out her name perfectly, Francis. At this point i was really emotional and started to cry and wanted to communicate as much as we could, but after a while it started to do figure 8s. And we were like wtf? and it was strong af. then it started spelling out Zozo. and we were like wtf and we asked it if it was really my grandma and it said no and that it wanted to kill us. At that point we freaked out and quickly ended the session. Afterwards for several days we both felt constantly uneasy and felt a negative presence around us all the time and I was hearing whispers in my house and I got really depressed and was just thinking really sad and awful things and my friend eventually was painting in her house where we did the session and she blacked out for a while and found herself painting black figure 8s all along the paper she had and at that point we panicked and we went all around to churches and got crucifixes and sage and white candles and just a bunch of shit like that to try to cleanse ourselves and I began sleeping with a bible next to me even thought im not religious and eventually it got better but to this day I keep a bible in my nightstand to be safe.

Idk how many people have seen Donnie Darko (I'm assuming a lot of people) but Jenna's wormhole theory actually lines up pretty well with the movie's plot. The basic premise is that Donnie avoids death by a mysterious plane engine that crashes into his room, which causes a tangent universe (a similar universe to ours, but extremely unstable, which is why the universe collapsed after 30 days) to breakaway from the current universe. It's really long and complicated to explain but Donnie inherits telekinesis, strength, and pyrokinesis as he progresses in the tangent universe. However, the plane is where Jenna's theory makes a lot of sense. The reason the plane is unidentified at the beginning is because the jet engine goes through a wormhole from the tangent universe to the original universe, and actually comes from a plane that Donnie's mother and sister are on. If anyone's actually interested in learning more about the theory, bc I think it adds a cool twist to the movie, there's an awesome vid on it. Let me know if you'd want me to link it.

About the EMPs : there's a french sci-fi book (it was written in 1943, during WW2) that covers the subject of power going off in an entire country. It's a chaos crescendo where human's darkest instincts show up and it's really interesting and well written ! It's Ravage from René Barjavel, and the english translation of the book is "Ashes, ashes". Awesome story ! check it out if you like the subject :)

But in college, freshman year (Which is three years ago) it came around to my new friends that I knew a bunch of shit about the paranormal world. It was around halloween and they called me and was like "Hey, We want to try the ouija board but don't know how" and I was like "Cool, I do lets go." Now, Let me say to everyone reading, DO NOT FUCK WITH OUIJA BOARDS. EVEN HOMEMADE OR "CHEAP". ESPECIALLY if you don't know how to properly call upon the spirit world, or close or will be disrespectful. We did the Ouija board and it was actually really cool. We talked to a few spirits (We did about three sessions over a course of two weeks). And I would always lead, open and close. Mind you, this is dangerous because you've basically opened your full energy and mind. So yeah, we talked to a women who was a care taker of children in colonial time period, we talked to a marine from world war 2 (He gave us shipping numbers that checked out) and we talked to a former student of our college who died of alcohol poisoning. Our last session was the weirdest. So it started off with a young girl. I can't remember if she was four or five. She talked to us about her favorite color, or favorite animal and it was at first, sweet. But then it turned weird. I started getting touched, my hair and my arm. We asked why and the little girl said that my hair was pretty and she wanted to play with it. I started feeling hot, which was the opposite of what i felt with other sessions. Other sessions we would feel cool breezes. This time, If I was touched, It kind of burned. I was very vocal with the group with how I felt and what was happening. My friend told me after that I went real quiet for a little bit and looked pale and exhausted. I don't remember being silent. But the little girl started saying she was scared. She was in hell. Shes scared. And then we asked why she was scared (i mean, hell probably is but we needed to stop the rambling of letters) and she kept saying MAMA. I knew it was going downhill. Little girl plus MAMA was a NONO. (lol) But the board kept talking. She said Mama wont let her go, Mama is keeping her there. I felt something touch my hair again but this time it wasnt so soft and I asked if it was her and she said "No, Mama." My friends started freaking out, I was feeling drained, but I told them to calm down because we can't afford more negative energy. As I was about too quickly close the session, the planchette kept going to random letters, as if to stop me from closing. At this point (there were about four or so of us) it was just me and one other person touching it and we could feel it forcing us to not go to goodbye. Im hastily saying my closing statements, asking to leave and trying to get it to goodbye. As I try to move it it beings circling. We push harder and it was a struggle to move it to goodbye, but we got it. It took actual force. We had someone taking notes every session and we ended up burning those notes as well as anything else tied to that session. The board could not be burned because to much smoke and college campus, but it was put away properly. I was DRAINED. I couldn't feel my legs. It was as if I ran a hike for eight hours and haven't eaten (no joke). We tried the spirit circle in these two weeks too and I have to say I like that one a lot. That one had a better system, had a better opening, and was in general more positive. However, Don't mess with things unless you're fully conscious of the pros, and cons and what you're getting yourself into. Be educated as best you can.

So, I dont know if it was "Zozo" but all signs check off on the list. Like I said before, I've had other experiences too if you want more stories.
