Podcast P with Paul George

9 ай бұрын

In this week's episode of Podcast P, we're joined by four-time NBA Champion Klay Thompson to discuss the 2022 Warriors season and their early playoff exit. Klay reminisces about his early AAU Basketball memories playing with PG and Dallas, and how he ultimately chose basketball as his sport, while coming from a big sports family. He also recounts some special moments with Kobe Bryant as both a kid and a rookie in the NBA. Then Klay shares his experience from playing in The Match with Steph Curry and how golf started their friendship. And finally, Klay shares his insights on his best and worst NBA Finals performances, his career outlook, and picks his Starting 5: Best Shooters in the NBA today.

I'm pretty confident that Klay is a very decent person. Sometimes he gets painted as a "heads in the clouds"-type, which is surely not wrong, but he's also a really thoughtful guy with a good heart and a unique perspective. I'm going to miss him a lot. You can imagine him virtually disappearing from public life after his career is over.

Paul's podcast is the best because of the quality putted into it, as well as the fact that Paul has a history with many guests he brings and seeing that they cherish these stories with no bitterness is just wholesome.

Before, when I was just starting out in basketball, I was really into Curry. But as time went on, I unexpectedly started to admire the simple game of Klay, which is extremely effective on the court, especially his off-ball and catch-and-shoot skills. The result is that one day, I realized that I fully adapted his playing style. I learned that it's possible to contribute to the team without necessarily needing to compete for ball handling. Just play like Klay! Shout out to my wife she is the one who told me, to mold my my game to KT11 😊 🏀🌊👌

You continue to give back to the fans in ways like this; humanizing people who are put on pedestals and making it easier to relate to some of the best players to ever grace the league. Don’t sell yourself short my friend and thank you again ❤

The history between klay and pg goes way back and all of klays stories and funny insight about his perspective of everything he witnessed or did from the Denny's story tolosing in chess or coming back from injury all hilarious. You can see how everyone on this episode was mad comfortable. The respect they showed to other players young and old, all positive vibes. Great episode 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Heat check Klay was something out of this world, not even KD could stop. His 60pt in 29mins was crazy but for me, his game 6 vs OKC will forever be the greatest memory of Klay Thompson. That catch and shoot from Iggy's pass and the long range 3 over Russ with that switch pose in mid-air
