For your coming Warbringer build, you have Ancestral Sprits (meat shields), which themselves, can hold many defensive and support gems. Should most certainly allow you to dual wield and go more offensively with the build. Possibly even rival Titan's damage assuming armor break below zero works properly.

Just got my 4th ascendancy points with this build in the Temple of Chaos. Only have 34 levels of Shockwave Totem, and just enough life regen to keep me at full health for each totem. No 6-link yet. That's my next goal. Thank you for making this guide. I added ancestral totem for bosses and slotted armour break and lacerate and deep cuts. Dunno if it makes sense but it seems to work.

@@lytylisius thank you. happy holidays to you, too! Amour breaker scales the armour break with gem levels, too. At level 33 gem level, it says Hits Break 10,497 Armour in the description. Maybe it's something interesting but I don't know enough of the mechanics that might make it work. But, that's what I've tried and maybe it works. Lol. I can only see the bleed status but not the magnitude of the bleed. Anyway, great guide! Keep them coming!

instead of accuracy stat we can go for "resolute tech" node which gives our totem never miss but we dont do any crit (which we dont care anyways) with ur pathing that is 4 nodes food for thought.

My tree layout is slightly less spread out, I've clustered my points near two jewel nodes (The one near Resolute Technique, the other near Ancestral Artifice). In those two jewel slots I then put in a Time-less jewel to add effects to all the small passive points, which Titan then boosts those effects 50% more, giving some insane stats.

@@MrBoBrilO So with the item filters it's hard to find if better exists, but if you had two jewels with Upgraded range to Large, small passives +3% melee, +3% totem damage and +2% atk spd, you effect roughly 15 passives in each area, so without Hulking that makes each jewel give +45% melee, +45% totem dmg, +30% atk spd, but with the Hulking it becomes +4% melee, +4% totem dmg and +3% atk spd, which is 60% 60% 45% each jewel

I just saw this last night and I switched over. So far its pretty good still need to 6 link it. Only recommendation i have is using Leap Slam with Holy Descent and Despoiler. This will almost double the health regen.

i ran my totembuild from 1-50 now and what i can say is, the manaissues via levelstacking really makes this logic only workable later on when you can get some decent regen going, i would recommend only doing a +4 onehander+shield and gauntlets +2, otherwise the manacost is unbearable, you will have to do some dmg yourself wich is suprisingly doable thanks to the +skill, but you wanna be tanky because your totems will need time to kill due to low level stacks, it starts to change somewhere around 40, not before, thats when you wanna go for +4 +4 +2 +2 loads of mana and regen, i would also recommend leaving out the +1 totem -50% duration gem, you wont spam them like crazy so having doulbe uptime seems smarter, you can circle them while regen and wait for them to kill stuff.

I do not recommend starting this as ssf or first char.. working on a lvl 1 till endgame progression video as well as Warbringer VS titan.. release after Christmas.. you can do 2 x + 4 weapons just fine at lvl 28.. grab iron rings with 65+ mana and mana regen % 35+ .. two of them.. and you'll be able to spawn. Totems. At bosses the mana flask will suffice. No need for twink gear. This is my first endgame SSF character. Level 72 not capped resists, only +3 and +2 melee skills I managed to craft so far and it's doing really well in low level maps. Most of my gear is very average. This build is very SSF friendly actually. From mid Normal to early Cruel, you can get away with the Inspiration rune : Brutality / Martial Tempo / Inspiration. From mid Cruel as you level up the totem take the two passives "Mana Costs converted to Life Costs" (which include -10% Mana cost), your HP is around 2K - you only need 50-ish life regen with a few passive nodes to sustain 3 totems. Level 72, only 2370 HP, and ~70 life regen and it's plenty enough to sustain 5 link totem. Build is very SSF friendly since when you craft with currency or shop you really just want the +melee skills on the main weapon you don't care too much if it has big Phys Dmg bonuses. I'm running kind of a mix of this and POEguy's , taking some Blocking nodes and Turtle Charm.

Yup this is what i have already figured out. People saying totems are bad are playing wrong. Personaly i put the attack speed on leap slam and have more on the tree itself as well to go faster. For accuracy you can actually take the no crits always hit node on the tree then u get even more room for damage.

Jup, saves cash on gear on accuracy if you take Resolute technique.. but in the spirit of min maxing i never take nodes i dont need, as above lvl 90 you always feel node starved anyway. As for IAS.. i did this as well early on.. but because we dont move fast, the AOE bubble always exceeds our movement speed through the scaling.. so felt i didnt need more AOE at 4 totems and the "bad" speed PoE 2 has.

This build is great! I finished the campaign today and am having a fantastic time compared to my multiple alts. I would say equip the unique boots Bushwack at lvl 33 and never look back. The totems pin every enemy to the ground and they just get blasted.

Hi Lytylisius, just tried combining Earthshatter and add Jagged Ground + Upheaval + Persistence support skill on it. Totem then cast the Earthshatter is amazing. Get those explosions like crazy. I would imagine the Titan AOE is godly. DPS goes up by another 20% or so. Probably overkill but it works great on bosses.

Apparently you can also add volcanic fissure to this haha... totem > volcanic fissure > earthshatter... might be overkill though. Effect looks cool though. Comes out slow, probably only for when a boss is down.

from what i know leech is bad right now but, check out the unique gloves Gravebind, they make it so that enemies killed by anyone in your presence count as being killed by you instead, using those i made my onslaught ring work from my totems killing stuff so maybe life leech would work as well

nope u do no dmg if u dont have +levels to melee skill at weapon , u will have mana issue if u havent get the giants blood keystone cuz high level totem cost alot mana, if u got the keystone u will have attribute issue ( check the strength requirement before u buy a weapon with +level skill)

this is a 75% build at best.. there are + 2 skill jewels out there.. + 2 lvls to this gem + other changes could put the damage at 100 K per totem. i prkect life to be at 4200-4500 .. there might be a way to strech regen to a point where inspiration can be removed for splinter.. for build in 15% armour brak of dmg dealt.. imagine.. 100 K dps.. each time a totem goes off... it strips 15% of the dmg dealt. think 4 totems.... Man.. this build can get stupid strong.

So i watched your Twitch video and saw right at the beginning that you had prepared your gear, had all the items to add additional slots to the skills, the corresponding gems for the skill tree, etc I don't have any of that, but I still tried to keep up as best I could, but now in Act 2 with the bosses and especially on the map tops of the disha, I can't even come close to keeping up with the flood of enemies, I've probably died 30 times , because I don't have anywhere near the toughness, so in my opinion this level guide works for newcomers = 0

Don't start this char SSF.. it's not a "first char". this one you play after you get bored of your "first" or "main" char.. grab some exalts for twink gear and have fun from lvl 6 onwards. now if you're already deep in this, and wanna maintain the gameplay, send me a DM on discord.. i'll set you up with twink gear ( i have a bunch of it backed up) to make sure you'll be alright.. **if anyone else reads this**..ill repeat, this is NOT the right choice to start with as a first char, if you have *zero currency to invest*. In answered that yesterday during a relevl live test.. at lvl 22-24 youll have it already if you have acces to low strength requirement +3 weapons.. Started a live test and yet another new char ( warbringer) on twitch yesterday to answer the two most asked questions 1. How do i level up this char? 2. How about warbringer I've posted some notes on the dicord server under the guide section for level up tips as well. ill invest similar amounts of currency in both chars to do a side by side. then everyone can make up their mind on what they think is better

Thats bs.. add phys damage to attacks works on gloves/ rings etc.. anything on the weapon doesnt save for the stun buildup for some reason..

If only Astral Projection would work on Totems. They don't even though you can slot it in. I shelved my build because the shockwave blur effect was too much for me. I suggest however adding in an Ancestral Warrior Totem with Overabundance and Earthquake. Makes a noticable difference on bosses. Happy to see another Totem Warrior!

Theres quite a few thing he missed. The best reason to go blood Magick for one... the strength nodes that reduce mana... well you don't have mana so all bonus... and increases damage based on strg...

Yea I felt this as well. That shock wave effect is, after awhile, disorienting. I went with molten blast and change it up a bit. It’s doing very well, except for the targeting of the totems. Some bosses just jump around so much. So I may look into the earthquake myself. Thx.

With Demolisher, Break Posture, and if you have some bleed chance from jewels (you only need 21% with 3 totems to keep a bleed up 99.2% of the time) Rupture. I'm finding that it fully breaks most boss armour in 1 hit. Sometimes 2.

My own leveling experience was so bad untill level 35, i decided i'd need more research before i give advice on it. the real problem is, i like to learn things as i go, not pluck them from other sources..so i've been sppending so many hours in game, probably a lot of wasted hours, learning through trial and error. will look into a better path in the coming days mate

@@lytylisius i went with warbringer, the spawns can serve as a decent distraction, main issue i had so far is 1) the bull tends to shove not only enemies out of totemrange, but sometimes shoves around the totems itself wich is quite annoying and all of them have quite a decent range, the problem is that range tends to be out of the range of the totems, so them tanking can be nice, but mostly it just keeps enemies from being killed by totems haha. your life instead of mana could however benefit from the 20% of your life is taken by totems instead, i also like the obsidian skill that reduces dmg by up to 10% wich is nice without a shield, for the last 2 points i went with the shouts exploding corpses, because everything else seems kinda useless given one lane is fully for shield, the other just breaks armor, wich however might deserve some testing since it can reduce armor below 0, but who knows how much +% dmg that is, i guess most things are dead before that could even start to shine lol. im also wondering if you could go 50/50 on mana and lifecost and instead push both mana and liferegen, but you seem to have tested all that so i guess it leaves us with no choice :/

the level scaling on these is quite insane, specially once you start aproaching lvl20 on the gem. at the beginning is rough, you only have one totem and it doesnt do much damage, bosses take forever, but there is a point, around the start of act3 normal were the totem starts to pick up pace, also is the point were you start getting 2 or 3 totems. cruel is actually easier than normal because of that, while you are doing cruel, every level you get on the gems is going to put to shame the last one. i for example, when i started maps, bough an amulet, gloves and started two handing a second mace with +3, for a total of +7 levels. my damage basically when from 1k to close to 10k

How about HCSSF? Blood magic route I understand to try combat the totem costs and you stack regen/life, but on HCSFF that would be very RNG gear dependent too with regen/max hp. Maybe that's something to spec into later, because early on shockwave is 1-2 shotting mobs but as you get to executioner/count if you go the early regen/armor route you will be doing nearly zero damage (and I have +3 to melee attacks in A1) and you'll have to basically mace attack bosses and boneshatter mobs the whole time. So I've gone the melee % nodes first, straight into the totem damage and heading to +1, it's safer to kill fast with relative tankiness than be a full tank and have 10x longer fights. This is with 2 support gems the luxury of multiple orbs isn't something you want to use right away.

U dont need that reg until high Tier maps. I had one ssfhc lvl 72 gemlin totem build and i had the flask reg aura and the stunbuildup with vitality and was by 100 lifereg allready with shitty gear. Allways i put many totems u just Spam ur lifeflask with over 2k reg per sec. It works better then it sounds!

Early on, dont worry about life based.. it became needed through the massive level increases of the skill. Just have clarity and some mana regen on gear early on and youll be alright

With smaller AOE u need more IAS.. to stay in the bubble while moving as i explained in the video.. so you have to choose.. nodes become scarce quickly.. i've chosen AOE over IAS.. especially because enemies can get out of the way of "fast small " totems.. but not away from full screen aoe.

I'm a warbringer using totems. Totally possible but gears way more expensive than Titan. Also, the damage won't be as high. The ancestral spirits from ascendancy is def NOT worth it ... They are so useless tbh and lags the screen lol.😅. One be benefit of warbringer though is you can switch to a second set with a shield and activate your ascendancy block without raising shield with Thrill steel shield, which gives you up to 77-90% chance of not taking damage from hits or AOE... Yes, you can block aoe with warbringer. So place totem with two great hammers and go into defensive mode with weapon swap... I would still say titan is much easier and better though, I was very sad when I found out titan was a better totem user than an ascendancy with totem nodes😢

@@shinhadou12 Cool tech that I comboed with Woolie's suggestion for using the Svalinn Crucible Tower Shield. So basically you put points into block on 2nd set of weapon with shield and put Earthshatter skill to cast only on 2nd set of weapon with shield and add Jagged Ground + Upheaval + Persistence support skill on it. So you cast the totems then cast Earthshatter which automatically put you into shield mode, which triggers the turtle charm which allows you to block without raising your shield up. The earthshatter creates jagged ground that explodes for another 14k damage from shockwave totems activating the jagged ground, so it's offensive and defensive. It's pretty cool looking xD.

Ancestral totem can do insane amount of single target damage tho, but unless u want to do uber bosses (max difficulty), shockwave would be fine.

@@LuKanO84 the AOE is for coverage.. you sover the whole screen therefor target more enemies at once.. more clear, less chance of getting hit. Numerically, not more danage.. practically, especially in open maps, huge advantage

Why not using resolute technique to solve accuracy since not really investing into crit? Also there is amulet with +1 limit so you could have 5 totem or 4 with another support gem. I was leveling with shockwave totem and jagged ground support is good when you have at least 3 totems placed.

The jewels are more so mandatory at lvl 39 gems.. realistically most people will use + 5 or + 5 weapons not +7.. + 5 is managable without those jewels.

im curious. is there any synergy with using volcanic fissure and having your totems slam them for extra aftershocks for single target or anything? tried anything like that out?

@@lytylisius ya just while you're sitting around waiting for totems to dps a boss down, you could throw down an upheaval volcanic fissure. just not sure exaclty how the "aftershocks" scale from the fissures if its from the volcanic fissure dmg (which wouldn't be good) or aftershock from the totem slam damage (which would be very very good) its actually what i initially wanted to league start with, but i went warbringer to start. remade as titan and at that point abandoned totem idea until i saw they can work

The martial tempo works.. somehow it doesnt show it on the totem gem itself.. place 1 totem.. with and without the martial tempo.. if you have a sense of rythem, you'll see

Im playing on PS5. My levels to melee lvl dont count for the Schockwave totem. Onlly my levels from the Amulet count. Both weapons are not red and have +6 to melee lvls. Any ideas what the issue could be?
